1. I worked. I'm a technical writer
2. I'll work. I'm a technical writer.
3. I'm stuck living with my parents.

i was on a scrum team and i hated doing these standups. always felt like so much pressure to say you were doing something outrageously useful every day

*scum

I'm so sorry, user. Why are you living with your parents?
I mean I'm sorry you're working as a tech writer. For all I know your parents are awesome.

they did daily standups at 9am at a place i used to work but i always woke up late and missed them and then i got fired kek
good times

I literally just come too late and miss those completely useless meetings.

People do it because it's the most trivial way to implement something that looks like you're doing agile development.

>Why are you living with your parents?
I was living on my own as a NEET for 8 years and piled up $25k in credit card debt.

My parents are stupid, soulless people

You were a neet for 8 years and you got a job writing documentation? How?

>What did you do today?
Install golang, look at mux
>What are you doing tomorrow?
Build an authorization server
>What are you stuck on?
Nothing

Install golang, look at mux

I was a long time member of a technical forum and i was hired based on my posts there.

>What did you do today?
Developing feature x

>What are you doing tomorrow?
Developing feature x

>What are you stuck on?
Nothing. (It's not like anyone else is going to help anyway.)

I've long believed that user documentation is based on hating the end user. Now I have proof.

1. masturbated twice, smoked weed, and played lego star wars the complete saga
2. watching the Eagles play the Lions and then go on a date with a qt
3. anxiety

1. Bought materials for a desk I'm building and rode my motorcycle, also leg day
2. Building a desk
3. An endless loop of meaninglessness

1.)Wrote some revisions on a group project’s charter and updated my linkedin to include my new position
2.)Going to create a presentation and finish up some stats homework
3.)Nothing at the moment although im sure something will take a turn for the worse tomorrow

>What are you doing tomorrow?
urrgghh... URRRRGHHHHHH
>What are you stuck on?
AAAARRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH UUURRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHH

Other than going to work, I did some work on my bootloader
Going to work on it some more tomorrow.
And probably for quite a while, 16bit real mode is a cunt, who ever thought of segmentation memory model should be shot.
BIOS calls are actual cancer.

I am trying to implement a multiboot2 compatible bootloader in x86 assembly so I can boot my toyOS without using grub.

Same but I also wrote over 50% of the code for multiple projects so they pushed the standup to 10am and then I started missing those... Now it's at 11am which is a much comfier time.

the idea behind a standup used to be to make sure you are not going to clash with what other people are working on, or for others to bring up solutions to problems you might be having. unfortunately it devolved into "making commitments" about how much work you are going to do today. managers love this kind of psychological warfare.

>I did some useful stuff but I'm too tired to explain it
>Just working on the same feature like everybody else?
>Can I just get back to the project? I'm sick of socializing.

>>What did you do today?
wake up, fix water damaged led strip
>>What are you doing tomorrow?
idk
>>What are you stuck on?
my shitty life

>What did you do today?
Implementing that design doc you guys wrote yesterday.

>What are you doing tomorrow?
Probably that one too.

>What are you stuck on?
The documentation is inconsistent. I have to keep asking people what's true and what isn't. Write some proper design docs you fuckers.
