I use the trackpoint almost exclusively on my T430, the trackpad gets in my way more than I use it. I think I will disable it in BIOS, see if I actually use it more than I think I do.

T510 has broken USB ports and meh CPUs. The dedicated GPU models break T520 is okay, the first model with nvidia optimus if you care about that T530 has the shitty keyboard layout and can't easily be flashed with the unlocked bios. Only upside is slightly better iGPU None of these have terribly great build quality, expect the plastic edges to chip and the palmrest to become smooth.

Feeling happy today. Took my old T60 with a loud CPU fan, took it apart and dusted everything. Lubed the CPU fan bearings lightly with motor oil and applied fresh thermal paste. Fucking thing runs like new again. No noise. Seeing CPU temps as low as 44°C in normal use on non-demanding web sites. Unbelievable. They're indestructible. Posting with it as we speak.
I have a T420 right now running linuxmint. I want a windows thinkpad for "gayming" and by that I mean OpenRA. A good cpu and ram should be able to handle the renewed RTS. Instead of buying winblows I figured Id get another Thinkpad with it preinstalled. Any recommendations?
How much should I pay for a refurbished thinkpad x220 in 2019? I dont necessarily have to get a perfect deal, but I dont want to overpay too much either.

You forgot to mention they're all T440p, I'm assuming they're all T440p based on specs, everyone of them seems overpriced especially 1-1. 2 is the most acceptable despite being overpriced too, but a good base if you wanna change to 1080p IPS panel yourself and you should. Google for the t440p upgrade guide and decide if you want any of the fluffs. I bought a similar to 2 for 250 freedom bucks and it already chad 1080p IPS panel which costs like another 50 freedom bucks. So I bought a similar specs as 2's for only 200 freedom bucks as opposed to your 269 gypsyroos. You're better off looking on eBay and checking how much import tax you'll have to pay, good thing for buying locally is faster shipping.

Go for the 350€ Shop 1 computer 2. You could save around 35€ by buying the 269€ Shop 2 one and putting a FHD panel in it but if you also want to stick a 256GB SSD in it you'd save fuck all. Best choice is to look for better deals though.

You can get a fully specced out T440p for that price and it'll last you forever until quads and 16gb ram becomes obselete, so maybe a decade or more. Don't you have Craigslist or shit equivalent over there?
