I mean, really, it doesn't even have any killer features, it's just a Chrome reskin at this point and it looks worse than Chrome.

it has video pop up and inbuilt free vpn

It's superior to chrome in every way

>mobile
word wrap
much better layout, comfy FIXED bottom bar (take note, Brave devs)
built-in adblocker (not full spectrum blocking like Brave, btu good enough for casual use and more importantly doesn't break any sites)
good data saver
handy VPN (proxy)
can save pages for later offline reading
can output to .pdf

>desktop
uses much less RAM
much better layout
uses Yandex and Phishtank for Safebrowsing, not Google
also has the data saver and 'VPN' features in case you need them

Basically, all the benefits of Chrome (the Blink engine), with lots of added better features and some of the Google botnet removed
The real question is, why WOULDN'T anyone use it?

>built-in free vpn
might as well just be a region changer for youtube instead of a vpn
anything but private desu

>video pop up
Almost everyone has this nowadays. Vivaldi, Yandex and even Firefox.
>free vpn
Ah yeah, forgot about that. So it's basically a free vpn browser.

its vivaldi without the bloat

for the same reason anyone does anything.

I use it, I like its feature set

>uses much less ram
I was surprised by this, even with 30 tabs open it uses minimal amounts compared to chrome/ff

Stable
Fast
Everything makes sense

It's Vivaldi without the things that make Vivaldi worth using. Shame about the spying though

>chink Chrome clone
>existed before Chrome

Damn this design is straight from 1998

That was the old browser, before they switched to the new engine

the best time

people are retarded

>mobile
No shit about mobile version. After a short downgrade during its blink migration period, it's just as good as it was before. Opera and UC were both the best mobile browsers in terms of features. I used them on my java and android phones. Until UC got turned into a piece of malware of course.
But desktop is another case.
>desktop
>uses much less RAM
Hard to check, maybe
>uses Yandex and Phishtank for Safebrowsing, not Google
Subjective. I just set ddg as a default search.
>also has the data saver and 'VPN' features in case you need them
That one is cool
>much better layout
Definitely no. The UI looks unpolished, especially tabs. If you don't use the messengers in sidebar, the sidebar is pointless, since everything else on it just opens in a new tab. If history/bookmarks were also opened it sidebar, it would make sense, like in IE, Firefox, Vivaldi or the old Opera itself. And it still doesn't show window previews, the main feature of old Opera.

Basically, Vivaldi and Yandex are both better at being old Opera than Opera itself. I could get Vivaldi, it was meant to become the new Opera and was developed by Opera's former developers. But Yandex just had a little departure from Chrome skin with Yandex services, yet they still got tab previews and sidebar better than nu-Opera devs themselves.

they are not as good as opera
you can use the slide bar on video link.
and i checked firefox doesn't have that feature.
are vivaldi and yandex have it?

I use opera on mobile, seems nice enough

Ok, Firefox got an extension by moz developers themselves. It was a part of "test pilot" program.
Vivaldi got that feature recently and Yandex had it for years.

Opera is used by every cumbrain I know. It's built-in VPN lets them access government blocked porn sites.

Yup. I especially like its file downloading animation and how it opens a new tab with a long tap on "tabs" button.

just use tor browser instead of some chink trojan
can't expect too much of cumbrains though
