Why isn't D popular?

Why isn't D popular?
It has a lot of potential and the learning curve is flat if you're coming from C, JS & PHP.

Not only that but Walter bright is behind it, Walter bright!

>gc leaks
>most of its features are half-assed and done better by other languages
I'll stick with sepples.

vibe.d doesn't do justice to D, it's incredibly slow while D is one of the fastest languages out there.

>OP wants the D
Ebin :DDDD

ok tranny

The diet template is so nice and pretty fast honestly, what do you think causes Vibe.d to be slower

>gc leaks
What?
>most of its features are half-assed and done better by other languages
Such as?

You know that the GC is optional right? You can literally turn in off with @nogc

```
// @nogc functions are guaranteed by the compiler
// to be without any GC allocation
() @nogc {
Code
}();
```

better have something non pozzed by trannies than get Walter Bright cancelled and the entire language remade into Rust2020
Also it doesn't help that it's just C/C++ but in "better" and less popular.

D's gc is pretty stable and well optimised honestly

There is other frameworks like DiamondMVC, have you tried it?

Rust's syntax is extremely ugly, seriously. Why do people use Rust?

You can run C & C++ in D smoothly, D's library and language is so wide you can literally do anything in it. ¡ think that was Walter brights goal, to cover anything other languages can do.

Want to write functional? Go ahead!
Want OOP? Sure!
Hate Gc? Turn it off!

I really think people should give D a go.

>it doesn't help that it's just C/C++ but in "better"
What even is this supposed to mean? Have you actually ever tried it or are you just repeating what some clueless shill has told you?

no big tech company backer. golang has google, rust has mozilla, c++ has a committee from different tech companies.

>Why isn't D popular?
Marketing, or lack thereof. A lot of people just don't know it exists.

you make D sound actually good choice.

Do not let my words make it sound like a good choice. Try it out yourself user.

True but large companies uses it for example, Netflix built one of their neural nets with D. Facebook and Ebay uses it too for other purposes.

That's just sad

this

The cool thing is that D can now be compiled with LLVM & GCC.

¡ found it by accident and now coding in it daily

better c mode was a good idea. i will try some time.

Thanks for being open minded user, usually people just rejects an idea directly

AP HALUU DEETÄ

Just use C and/or Common Lisp

There is no reason to not just use Sepples17/Sepples20

Why not use C inside D so you get the power of both worlds?

Outdated?

Common Lisp is dead my guy, leave it. Check tiobe index

C++ hasn't been "outdated" since 2011.

It was just a wild guess

Why do people say Sepples instead of just C++?

Why not integrate C++ in your D code?

Those who say D is bloated, you're so wrong.

You can do selective imports.

and then you can't use most of the standard library

Why not refactor your D code into a gc language people use, like Go?

this
no its not, the GC is slow and leaks, google it you fucking shill
>you know GC is optional
>yeah just dont use the feature the language has dude!
fucking brainlet nigger

>half assed features such as?
multiple alias this
contracts
betterC
etc etc etc

and soon a fucking half assed borroq checker because the retards that run the language are academics that use D for intelectual masturbation only, and dont give a shit if the language (continues to) fail.
source: 20 years old and still irrelevant.

>t. someones who actually loves D but hate the ones in charge for many many reasons

walter bright can go suck a cock, fucking retard destroyed a almost perfect language

>Mozilla
>big

More like: Why is D known at all? The answer is massive shilling.
It has as much potential as Loci, ooc and other failed C++ clones you don't hear about for a reason.

In fact it is even worse, because it is lead by a massive retard, Walter "not so" Bright, who once worked on dmd at corporate time and got it sacked until roughly two years ago.
