Is this the worst cable of all time?

is this the worst cable of all time?

That's a weird picture of MOLEX

>to young to remember MOLEX
Out

Not even close

isn't molex actually bendable, though? why the fuck is there so much space with sata power cables?

If you can't use these just get a laptop you are not cut out for computer building

remember that one time when someone thought the usb3 header cable was a good idea

>wax my balls

no

No that cable is pretty genius.

I have had to unplug those dozens of times in my life and I'd say over 90% of the time it pulls the header right off the pins with it. Hell is too good for whoever designed that fucking thing.

This is the worst shit ever mave, and you really know I'm right

It's trivial to re-crimp these, you don't need a tool or anything. Pop the back off, pull out the cable, reposition, punch the cable back in with a screwdriver. Why bother bending when it could just be the right length

No

plug me in NO NOT LIKE THAT *tears and ruins your monitor*

oh you sweet summer children

No, why?
Were you stupid enough to break your computer again?

Molex is way worse.

This one is perfection, fucking shit

>just bought this exact cable to power more drives in my ghetto NAS
It's not the catching fire kind of bad, r-right?

Im kind of wondering now too. I'm thinking, maybe just buy more molex to sata type single adapters, instead of the chain/multi type. Maybe even easier on my corsair psu? Is it the multi/chain thing that causes malfunction? Or aging out/drying out under stress of hot case interior that causes fire risk?

Yeah. And, the connector clamps would break off.

Not to be stupid, but what advantages does this have over molex?
Am I losing anything just using molex+sata-data to connect hdd's?

Attached: ps2.jpg (425x275, 45K)

I don't get it. I've never had a problem with ps/2 cables

Imho ps/2 adapters free up two usb slots

I have this sata power extension, it is pretty good when you have very little space for cables next to your HDD

base5d

its not even as half as a bitch to unplug

Attached: 042816-3.jpg (800x800, 54K)

sata is designed for hot swap backplanes, etc. consumers don't need hdd now.

I have literally never had a problem with this

>thiccnet
I'M GONNA COOM

the converters that catch fire are the molded ones. the crimped ones are fine.

i managed to bend the pins on my board when trying to cable manage this one. i then bent them back like pic related.

It takes the strength of a gorilla to unplug a molex connector, and half the time one of the pins inside would pop out through the back and refuse to connect altogether.
sata power is a breeze compared to that shit.

>Why. Won't. You. Die?!?!?!?!

Attached: 41ehjPtc9RL._SX425_.jpg (425x425, 18K)

i fucking hate them so much

why couldnt they be 2 separate cables?
This thing is a mess to cable manage

fuck off, goy

This is for cars.

>posting 0/1 b8
I felt that shit

Sup, I heard your brand new sound card needs direct power.

>Never stays plugged in
I hate this thing with a passion.

have you heard of the high elves?

Ps/2 was great

My only complaint about motherboard power connector is that its always attached so you might have to unplug other stuff to unplug it. Its always fit in such a way that its always near too much stuff.
I.e in case you move your cabinet and it got loose, you need to replug it.
But its still better than 1x8 and 1x6+2, where its attached to the edge that might be close to the cabinet.

At the least the de-attache works as intended, unlike MOLEX.

>too young to hack molex
Molex is GOAT.
