silverskin onions are basically just small white onions, and they're nowhere near as good as red onions

Well, I never said it wasn't tasty. Its actually pretty good and doesn't take much time to prepare.
Red onions are in general preferable, but when cheese is involved it has got to be silverskin onion in my opinion.
