What the hell happened to Jow Forums and /a/? I was gone for a couple months and both boards have changed dramatically...

/a/ has been going downhill for a long time, all the shounen shit and /v/-tier posts are just a few more turds onto of the manure pile
as for Jow Forums we had half the userbase leave in august, and a lot of threads that aren't maintained by the bumpcult or by some external discord group, are usually drive by shitpostings by frogfags or tourists from other boards.

I really do wish there were medium/large sized imageboard alternatives to Jow Forums, but the two "big" ones that I've been around long enough to see have: been dead for nearly a decade, and slowly dying.The only english imageboards that I've see remain active and stable are /jp/ spinoffs, since their communities are based around this niche that they can focus on exclusively. The "big" altchans fundamentally have a reoccurring problem, in that they're born out of negative integration after some shit goes down here. The userbased is united in the collective but fleeting anger of "fuck Jow Forums," but not on any deeper interests. So its only a matter of time before there's a lot drama and infighting among certain sub-groups of those sites as well as with the mods, which effectively kills the site in the long run as it stagnates and slowly withers.

shonen chads should come here too. You fags have the taste in anime of teen girls.
