God created humanity with free will so that we may come to love Him freely and in truth. However, since we have that free will, we can sin against Him. God knew this would happen when He created us, so He provided a way for us to be reconciled with Him for free. Hid did this by incarnating as a man to pay for our crimes against Him, Himself.
Why was this necessary?
It was necessary because God is perfectly Good and Just. Since He is perfectly Good and Just, then there must be retribution for the crimes we have committed. His Justice must be satisfied.
But since God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us, He took it upon Himself to suffer in our place for our sins. This is the truest expression of His mercy for us. All we need to do is accept this free Gift.
Some might ask,"If Jesus bore the sins of all mankind, then why is there as hell?"
If you do not believe in Christ and allow Him to cover your sins, when you stand before God, you will have to pay for them yourself.
If you unironically believe all this irrational shit, I hate to be the bearer of news, but you're retarded
Chase Parker
Why are you so angry?
That I am, by the mercy and grace of God. And so too could you be.
Easton Powell
because i've been brainwashed with this shit ever since i was like 5
Nathaniel Perry
I am, to be. To be true.
Sebastian Kelly
Have you ever considered that it might just be the truth?
Brandon Bailey
All religons are connected all depecting the same god that they all just comprehend, our religons are all just aspects of the same god. Because human minds are too small to actually comprehend god, if you dont believe that i feel you give humans too much credit and whatever created this universe not enough.
Kayden Powell
yes, but i chose not to believe the people who forcefully rammed a religion down my throat and punished people for thinking of their own free will. if theres really a god that supports that, he shouldn't be worshipped in the first place imo.
Cooper Jones
All it takes is an awesome dude to make things just righteous.
>people who forcefully rammed a religion down my throat and punished people for thinking of their own free will It sounds like you have a problem with people in your life who profess themselves to be Christian, but do not truly follow the teachings of Christ. Truly I am sorry that you had such an experience, as that is not at all what Christianity is about.
>if theres really a god that supports that He doesn't. Those who preach and practice in such a way are not men and women of God.
Wyatt Williams
Perhaps they are, and maybe we don't truly know God, but I can tell you one thing with certainty.
There is one mediator between God and man, and that is Jesus the Christ.
Henry Rogers
Maybe he walks amongst us already. The 4th horseman is here so why not. I hope so.
Serious question. Why must there be a god. Why do you believe that? Do you think if you hadn't been indoctrinated and brainwashed since you were little you would still believe in a god? Why?
Wyatt Walker
Idk how people find it a suprise that in a big organazation that is led by many people that there are corrupt people, thats up there with if god exsist why bad stuff happen argument. If we lived by that there wouldnt be a right or left because as soon as one of them did something bad the whole orgnization is known by that forever. The truth is everything is grey, nothing is black and white just because a orgnization has bad leaders doesnt change the good ideals that the religon has to offer. I think a lot of people take religous books way too literally, or tend to forget that this was wrote and edited by diffrent humans over hunreds of years.
Christian Sanders
How many years of education do you have? How old are you?
Camden Martin
>Do you think if you hadn't been indoctrinated and brainwashed since you were little you would still believe in a god? Absolutely, as I came to know God as an adult. I was not raised to know God whatsoever.
>Why? For me it's personal. I have had experiences in my life that have convinced me beyond a shadow of a doubt that God does in fact exist, and through this I because searching out who God is. I landed on Christianity as to me, it seemed to have not only the most truth to it, but all of it.
But it doesn't sound like you want my subjective experiences as evidence of God. Well, there is good news.
There are many more than adequate logical arguments for the existence of God. Pic related is one such argument, and there are many others if you really want me to get into it.
The question I now have for you is, can you open your mind up enough to the possibility that God really is there? And if you can, and once you find through looking that the existence of God is not only possible, but probable, are you willing to try to get to know Him?
I had a family that started me off christian but never enforced it so i was free to believe in whatever. For a good amount of my life i didnt think god was real from a young age, i did some religion surfing and shit, believed in nothing for a while, then back to jesus god, now i just believe its all the same god. I dont feel like i need there to be a god , im okay if i was wrong, nothing lost nothing gained because i will be theb dead by the time i know. I see it like if someone wants to believe and it gives them a certain something they need or want in there life there is no harm. Just like theres no harm in believing that life is meaningless and in the end its just nothing. Because the ultimate truth is by the time we know its all over anyways.
Okay, logical arguments. That image has several logical fallacies, just as it should be expected. (non-sequitur, or making jumps in logic, petitio principi, or assuming the conclusion of an argument). I'm still not convinced. Truth be told, I think you are ignorant and close minded, you only see things in your life and just here on Earth. You cannot possibly imagine the scale of the Universe, and neither can I. But for that alone, for its vastness, I do not think there is a god. Also, evolution is way more believable (and can be proven). Also, don't try the fine tuned bullshit argument because that's not going to work on me
To me it sounds as though you want to believe that God does not exist. As I said, there are many more arguments for His existence.
Can I ask you to try something? Will you try praying and asking God to reveal Himself to you? Even if you don't, I will be praying for you, and I want you to remember this, because if you truly seek Him out earnestly, the He *will* reveal Himself to you.
I guarantee it.
Say for a moment that God really is there. Wouldn't you want to know Him?
Hudson Young
If God really existed, sure thing. Who wouldn't want to talk to the all mighty creator of all things? But why did he create us? Why? As for praying, I have prayed when I was a kid, because that's how I was taught, but I moved on from that, and my life hasn't really changed from a spiritual point of view. I'm just a very scientific kind of person, extremely skeptic. I just don't see reasons for God's existence. I believe in the big bang theory, because, so far in science, that's the most plausible explanation, full of evidence
Here is an excerpt from 'Visions of Heaven and Hell' by John Bunyan. This is a description of the joys of heaven that was given to him by the prophet Elijah in a vision.
>"When the soul and body are both happy as mine now are, I count it a complete state of happiness. >Throughout all the coming ages of eternity it is the soul and body joined together in the blessed resurrection state that shall receive this happiness. >But concerning the object of our happiness, which is the ever adorable and blessed God, our vision of Him is forever new.
>For as the divine perfections are infinite, nothing less than eternity can be sufficient to display the Glory. >This makes our happiness eternally added to, as well as our knowledge of Him to be eternally progressive also.
>Therefore, the Apostle Paul said,'No eye as seen and no ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man to conceive what God has prepared for those who love Him.'"
user, I'm not trying to argue with you. I genuinely care about you and it's a sincere question.
There is no harm is trying, but I won't press you any further about it.
Liam Myers
You're genuinely a really caring and nice person, I appreciate that. I can see your patience is above average, and that's a good thing, be it from your faith or not. I am glad we could discuss this. It has been nice, take care!
Gavin Bailey
And you as well.
Juan Gomez
But the issue is ultimately one of belief. You can't change whether you believe or not. I don't think there's anywhere in the bible that says: >and lo, he said unto them that if you hear my teachings and still feel like it's a load of old shit, then just lie and pretend that you buy it. Nobody cares and you'll still get them sweet, sweet paradise prizes.
Christopher Robinson
>that is not at all what Christianity is about You haven't read much history, have you?
>the issue is ultimately one of belief Yes, that is what it boils down to.
The commission of Christians is to tell people about the salvation they may have if they believe in Jesus Christ and allow Him to cover their sins with His sacrifice. That is all we can do.
After that the matter is between that person and God.
Caleb Baker
I go by what the scripture says, not by what men have done.
Jaxon Flores
You have typed so much and have said so little.
David Wood
Of course my words are inadequate to describe the power and significance of the sacrifice of Christ, but I am trying.
Jokes on you, when I die or even before, I'll have become an Outer God.
I could gift you then some eyes if you wanna see the truthiness of your believes somewhat more clearer, but I should't intervene further with the ignorance of the mankind, I guess.
If humanity will still exist in the next million years it will be most likely have become a single hive mind, there isn't space anymore for Individualism, it will be classified as an anti-human behaviour and this development has already begun. Is this truly the surprised paradise of your God?
What was it that caused you to stop in the first place?
Jose Howard
It was forced on me at a young age and when I grew old enough it all started seeming like bs. 12 years later and I still think it's all bs. I bought a bible off Amazon and it just gets boring, can't even be asked to read it.
Andrew Bell
I can see why a person would not want to read the Bible if they did not even believe in God to begin with. That interest comes once you do believe in God and you want to get to know Him.
There is this channel on youtube that I highly recommend you check out. His videos are very well done, and so are his arguments.
It seems that you dislike Christianity for personal reasons related to your childhood or other past experiences. I would suggest to read more on the nature of Jesus and what he taught and see if your thoughts change or remain the same.
