Maybe, but I didn't live through communism. We had a socialist government back in the day, but it wasnt communist. The war we went through to get our independence was only 10 days long aswell.
I think Slovenia and parts of Croatia are the two Slavic countries that didn't have it as rough throughout history.

Well If we are getting into a debate on the soviets I will come out and say I am not completely against the soviet union in fact I think that it should come back as a counter to the EUs influence as a none communist version of the soviet union. You are implying that eastern europe wouldn't have modernized if not for the soviets that is wrong. They would have modernized regardless of the soviets or not.

It is pretty similar, but it depends on where you go to. The capital looks nicer than most european cities, if you ask me, but probably because the only foreigners there are asian tourists. The eastern parts are pretty nice too, especially the coastline. Slovenia also has one of the most beautiful looking forrest, mountains, caves Etc. As a general rule Id say that the more east you go from the capital, the worse it gets.

Pretty much. Not sure how long that will last. Our government is completely fucked. A party that got the most votes in the last elections, and was like 12% ahead of the party in second place still couldnt get in because of parliament. Now we have total cucks in power that no one likes, but everyone is too lazy to do something about it. I am sure that in 10 years the shitskins will even start coming here
