When gameplay has repetitive mechanic that does not require player to adapt, that is fake difficulty.
When half of your learning curve, bases on cheese and meta strats, that is in fact a fake difficulty.
When gameplay seems impressive only because 90% of bullets in bullet hell will never matter in any possible strat that wouldn't kill you, that is a fake difficulty and nice patterns.
