You begin heading up the building.
After climbing some stairs, you come to the top floor.
It's high up, one of the taller buildings in the city.
You can see out across a lot of the city from there.
Georgia: "I never thought I'd see a city look so empty..."

Jun: "That's the first place he'd look, I was tasked with looking after her during the operation."
She walks into the room with Lyla.
Jun, to Lyla: "You just have to sit here..."
She pats on your bed and Lyla climbs onto it, before sitting down.
Jun: "It's comfy, right?"
Lyla slowly nods.
Jun: "Good! Okay, Lars, good luck!"
She walks off and closes the door behind her.

It's a small room, but it looks very comfy.
There's a knock on the door.

''Who the fuck are you''
>Turn around

Take my blanket and open the door.

"Mhm... Guess people are still hiding from the patrols..."
>Take a look around the city and try to spot a hospital
"I hope they didn't get her..."

You turn around but see no one there.
A female voice whispers into your ear.
Voice: "Does it really matter who I am?"

Upon opening it, you're met with Marie, she's smiling.
Marie: "Huh, you weren't still in bed, were you?"

You scour the city, looking for a hospital.
After a bit, you spot one.
It's a bit far away, on the other side of the city.
Georgia: "I'm s-sure she's fine..."

Lyla looks a bit uneasy for a second but relaxes soon after.
You grab a notebook and pen from in the room.
Lyla shuffles over to the side of the bed that's against the wall, leaning her back against it.

"Uhhh... Actually, yeah."
Look what's behind her, just in case.

"i'll just be asking you yes or no questions. nod your head up and down for yes, and side ways for no. understand?"
>take a seat on the other side of the bed

Behind her there's nothing, it's just bright white.
Marie: "Oh, you. What did I say about getting up so late..."
She playfully slaps your chest.

DUBS
You sit down at the other end of the bed.
She slowly nods.

"Thank you... Let's make haste, then"
>Go back down and head in the hospital's direction
"By the way, is it okay if I ask you something?"

"first. were you born on earth?"
>write down the answer

Uhuh.
"Yeah... Is there something you need?"

You take another cigar and light it.
Voice: "Very well, then... My name is Afriel."
The cigar is some good shit, helps take the edge off life.

DUBS
You both make your way in the direction of the hospital.
You're already very nearly there, the streets have been rather quiet.
Georgia: "Sure, ask away."

She stares at you for a second, before doing a couple of nods.

Marie: "I was just..."
Her voice slowly trails off and her eyes lose focus as if she's staring straight through you.

''Tell me what the fuck do you want and what the hell are you doing in my room before i kick you out of it for invading''

Look behind me, if there's nothing behind then look back at her.
"You ok?"

"... Why are you alone out here?"
>Walk along with her until we arrive

"interesting."

"second, when you were with the arume, were you the rank tactician or above?"

You look back behind yourself, seeing nothing out of the ordinary, before turning back to Marie.
As you do, you notice that there's a landing area and what appears to be the rest of the house behind her.
Marie: "Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I've made some breakfast, are you going to come and eat something?"

Afriel's voice: "I was just watching... But if you'd like for me to leave, then I shall."
Her whispers fall silent.

Georgia: "Well, it's not too long of a story I suppose... But I'll try to summarise it. So, I was out here in France to attend a college out here. But, then the Arume invaded, so I've been stranded out here ever since. I'm lucky to have survived this long..."
As you're nearing the hospital, the sound of Arume weapons being fired can be heard from in its direction.

You try to write it down, but manage to drop the notepad as you have no free hand to hold it steady with.
After your second question, she turns her head slightly sideways, with a confused look on her face.

"Y-Yeah..."
:JUST:
Go there.

"hmmm. i didn't think you'd be lower than a tactician. do you even know what a tactician is? is that something you were taught?"

Following her downstairs, you're met with a huge cooked breakfast waiting for you on the table.
Marie: "Tea or coffee?"

DUBS
She looks confused again.
then, suddenly, her eyes widen slightly and she nods a lot while making little grunts.
You pick up the notepad again and get the last answer noted down.

"Well, I'm glad it's nothing unusually tragi- Are those fucking gunshots?"
>He runs off ahead to get a good look at the hospital, a chill already running down his spine as he considers what they might mean

"Coffee."
Take a seat, and grab the coffee when its done, dont drink it yet, it could still be hot.

"so that means you are under the rank of tactician then right?"

You sprint off ahead.
Georgia: "Hey, wai-"
Running up to the front of the building, you see that the doors have been broken open.
The gunfire falls silent.
The sound of a girl screaming can be heard, she kind of sounds like your sister.
Girl: "Nooooo! Stay away from meeeeeeeee!"

DUBS
You take a seat in front of the food, it smells amazing.
Marie brings the coffee over and sits opposite you with her own plate of food.
Marie: "D-does it looks alright?"

She starts shaking her head.

"Yeah."
Take a bite of her cooking
"Can you remind me where are we?"

>Keep smoking

>Run inside with my rifle out and aim at whoever is there
"Get the fuck off her!"
>Fire if they don't comply

"have you ever met the empress before? or anyone in the royal family?"

Marie looks at you for a second.
Marie: "We're at home, of course. Are you feeling alright?"

She crooks her head to the side, looking confused again.
She slowly shakes her head.

You drop your cigar on the dirty floor.
There's suddenly the sound of someone trying to open your door, but it stops since your door is locked.

You run into the hospital and head in the direction of the screams as they fall silent.
You're met by three people.
There are two Arume soldiers and a third who's holding a severed head in one hand and a sword in the other.
It's your sisters head, you can see her mutilated corpse at the Arume's feet.
The one with the sword and your sister's head has what look like cat ears and a tail.
They all turn to look at you, the Arume drops your sisters head as she does.
Catgirl Arume: "There, I let go..."
She smiles a smug smile and the other two Arume raise their rifles at you.
You're out in the open, in a doorway.

She looks at you for a second before pointing at your pen and notepad.

>Stop smoking
>Get something with alcohol to drink

Nod
"I'm just having some kind of amnesia,so I dont remember much."

"what."
>hand her my pen and notepad
"what is it?"

A russian male of non-unusual features, but a scar here and there, awakes from within a pile of rubble, scratching his head and cursing in russian for a moment before inspecting his surroundins breifly.
"Oh shit wussup?", he inquires the void.

"..."
>Fuck cover and fuck hiding, kneecap them all or die trying
>Unload a full magazine on them while charging, then whip out my knife

She looks worried.
Marie: "A-amnesia?! You're not THAT old, are you? W-well, we're currently in our house in southern Italy."

She draws a really bad drawing of someone with a crown on.
Kinda looks like a queen.
She hands it back to you.

You get an assault rifle of your choice and have a knife on you.
Looking around, you find yourself inside the ruins of a small concrete building.
Looking beyond the rubble, you can see soem fields and a few other houses, they're somewhat more intact than the building you're currently in.
It's early morning and you can hear some birds singing their songs.

You quickly open fire on the Arume while running at them.
The girl with cat ears makes a surprised face for a split second, before she dashes away, going so fast she's just a blur.
You quickly kneecap the other two Arume and they fall to the floor, dropping their weapons.
It looks like you shot them faster than they could react.
They both scream in pain and scramble to try and grab their weapons.
You run over and pull out your knife.
Georgia shouts from behind you.
Georgia: "A-Adrià! Are you... okay..."
Her voice trails off as she sees the scene.

"No, no, I'm not that old, I'm like 25."
Check both of my hands.

She stays silent as you look down at your hands.
They're covered in blood, completely soaked and dripping.
Marie: "How could you..?"
She speaks in a weak and wavering voice as you look back up at her.
Blood runs down her face and past her teary eyes as she clutches her chest.
You wake up in your room back at the base.
It's quiet.

You climb out of your window and make your way into the cafeteria.
Everyone's giving you weird looks as you try to hide your face since it's still pretty obvious that it's you.
The chef looks at you.
Chef: "Can I, uh, help you, Geralt?"

You attempt to shoot the bird, wildly spraying into the trees.
However, it's hard to tell if you hit any.
You do see a few of them fly away, though, and they shut up.
There are four other houses on the road that are nearby, everything else is just open field that leads to trees.
The houses are partially destroyed and don't yield anything.
As for anyone being around, all seem quiet for the time being.

Georgia: "O-okay, but-"
She stops as the two Arume you left crawling on the floor grab their guns again.
Georgia quickly shoots them both.
Georgia: "Just be careful!"
You run off in the direction of the catgirl.
Last you saw, she was running in the direction of another ward.
There's a corridor that connects the hospital buildings together, so you head towards the one she ran through.
It's a long corridor with glass windows running down either side of it, a modern design.
You don't see her yet.

She looks annoyed for a second.
Suddenly, there's a knock on the door and it opens.
You see Hanako hold ing Jun by the arm, she has it twisted behind her back.
Hanako: "Ah, there you are."
Jun, in a pained voice: "Y-you can let go now..."
Hanako lets go of her.

You sit down to start waiting out the fog.
It's starting to clear.

Do I see anything that might invoke curiosity?

"what do you think you're doing."

Run through the corridor as fast as possible, and give a cursory glance through the glass pannels just in case I spot her

You point your gun at her.
Hanako raises her hands.
Hanako: "Hey, hey, I was just checking Lyla was okay. Jun was refusing to tell me where she was, so I got curious... So, uh, what are you doing?"
Jun looks at the pen and paper.
Jun: "Ooo, are you guys drawing?"

You start digging a hole.
It's around half a metre deep right now.

You leave your room and look around to see if anyone need some help.
Walking out into the base, you see Kruber lifting weights, with the Vlads drinking and watching him.
Faith, Alyona, and Jerry, the base's leader, are sat on some chairs talking about something.
Fulldoddy is talking to some people from the base.
No one else who you recognise is there and everyone seems to be taking it easy for the evening, it seems that you only slept for a couple of hours.

The chef looks at you funny.
Chef: "Yeah, right, just don't do anything stupid, eh?"
He gives you a half-empty bottle of vodka.
You grab it and scurry back to your room, climbing in through the window.

You run into the corridor.
Just as you make your way a few metres down it, the sound of a couple of footsteps comes from behind you.
You feel a hand get placed on your shoulder from behind and you feel someone move close to you.
The catgirl from before whispers into your right ear.
Catgirl: "Found you..."
Before you get a chance to react, the feeling of four blades being run up your back stings.
She pushes you forward away from her.
Catgirl, laughing: "Nyahahaha!"
The cuts don't run deep, she just appears to have cut your skin, it still really fucking hurts and you can feel blood running down your back.

Ah well, maybe I could do something.
Get a ghillie suit or make one idk

“An arume prisoner holding one of our soldiers like that is suspicious.”

“No she drew that. It’s what the arume queen looks like.”

Grit my teeth, ignore the pain and regain my balance, then try to land a cut on her with my knife. Try to leave it embedded so she won't run away so easily.
"... You're going to die. Really painfully."

You still have an old, tattered ghillie suit, so you take that and attempt to repair it.
You find some spare camo nets and cut off some parts to use for your suit.
After a bit of tying, you fix up your ghillie suit.

You hear Lyla grunt and she starts nodding and points at the drawing excitedly.
Jun: "Oh, it kind of sucks. I was never good at drawing, though. So I can relate."
Hanako: "So... she's drawing things for you?"
Jun quietly walks off.

You drink that shit.
You hold your alcohol well, for now, as you only feel a bit tipsy.

She pushed you away, she isn't within melee distance.
Catgirl Arume: "Nyaha, I doubt a man of your calibre could do that. It's been a while since I've had such a feisty one, though..."
She quickly dashes to the other end of the corridor, before shouting down to you.
Catgirl: "If you want to kill me, then you'll have to catch me!"

"Cool."
Now that I think about it, i kind of ran out of ideas.
Go to where faith is then.

You head over to Faith.
Fath: "Oh, hey Gyro. 'Something up?"

"JUN GET BACK HERE"
>to hanako
"yeah. and what about? ever seen the queen before?"

"Nah, I was fixing my ghillie suit, is there something to be dealt with?"

"Not really..."
Pull out my rifle and fire towards her. Don't bother with firing to cripple or kill, just aim for her abdomen and land as many bullets as I can.
"'Feisty', huh?"

>OVERDOSE

DUBS
Hanako: "Well, I guess she's drawing the Queen, she looked pretty excited when you said so. And, yeah, I've seen her."
Lyla nods some more when Hanako mentions the Queen.
Hanako: "Lyla here has probably seen her since she's a Messenger."
Jun comes back.
Jun: "How would you know that? The Messengers are all sorts of secretive."
Hanako: "Ugh, you actually came back."

She thinks for a second.
Faith: "Hmmmm, not that I know of..."
Jerry: "We could do with sending out some scouts, we'd have trouble if any Arume spotted us retreating back here."

You raise your rifle to aim at her.
Just as you pull the trigger, she looks to her right.
Catgirl: "Hu-"
There's a loud bang that sounds and your vision blurs for a split second.
You see fire and something smash through where the catgirl was.
All the glass shatters around you and your ears start ringing form the loud bang.
It all happened so fast, you can see everything at the end of the corridor burning and the building down there is starting to collapse.

You do an epic overdose and drink all of the vodka.
You're now drunk.

"Cool, consider it done"

You don't get any of that gear.
You also don't know where the lookout point is.
In the end, you walk out the front of the base with your ghillie suit on.
You here Faith say something as you're walking off.
Faith: "Someone should go with him, he didn't return last time he left by himself..."
She then shouts over to you.
Faith: "Hey, Gyro, do you want someone to go with you?"

You start making your way down the corridor, running over the broken glass.
You start to feel a bit light-headed as you run.
After you make it to the other building, you can see chunks of it falling over where the object ploughed through all of the supports and some of the walls.
There's a lot of fire everywhere and parts of the broken floor have been melted.
You can't see the catgirl.

DUBS
Jun: "What, but I finally dumped the responsibility onto you... Whatever..."
She sits on the bed with Lyla.
Hanako leans up against the doorframe.
Hanako: "They're warriors who've been blessed by the Angels. Or, that's what the Arume say. Their power is undeniable, though."

You already drank it all.

"Yeah! And make sure they bring guns for me"

Fall to my knees in between the slag and glass, defeated.
Begin pondering if it's worth it to keep going, even as the fumes and flames keep getting more intense.

A few moments later, Kruber walks over wearing a ghillie suit and holding a suppressed M21 DMR with forest camo.
He hands the rifle to you.
Kruber: "Haha! Here, friend, fresh from the armoury. So, where are we off to?"

More of the building collapses around you.
Amongst the ringing of your ears, you hear Georgia shouting form outside.
Georgia: "Adrià! Adrià, where are you?!"

Hanako nods at your thanks.
Jun: "Haha, and it almost worked... Hanako, get me a drink."
Hanako: "No."
Jun: "Flatass."
Hanako: "Your childish insults won't get to me..."
You make your way out of your room and outside to where Faith is.
She's talking with Alyona and Jerry, the base's leader.
Alyona: "Did you have a nap?"

“No, Jun tried to make me watch over lyla. What’s going on here?”

Pick up my rifle
"Probably somewhere nearby of an arume base, we should only watch in case they mobilize for an attack agaisnt us."
Follow my nigga kruber

Oh right... Can't leave her hanging like that... And it'd wreck my parents if they found out both of their children had died.
>Stand up and run outside, speaking loudly in between fits of coughing
"I'm here! Just go outside, I'll follow!"
>Make my way through the fires

Alyona: "Jerry was talking about what's been going on here. we managed to secure ourselves a truck as well."

Kruber: "Aha! Lucky for you, I know exactly where it is."
You both start walking away from the base.
You're about halfway there.
Kruber: "Both Geralt and I were taken there before. But the leader of the base there helped us escape. She said she wanted to help the Resistance. Hah, it's kind of a funny situation."

You make your way through the building, jumping through a gap in the fire to get outside.
There, you see Georgia standing there with blood all over her.
Georgia: "You made it... thank god. Umm, about your sister's body..."
It looks like she dragged her body out the front of the hospital, but it's all cut and covered in the blood like it's been sliced before they killed her.
Her head isn't there.

"I see, do you think we'll get to make contact with her?"
Keep going

"i see..."
>go up to faith
"about my arm. i don't want to hold you guys back from anything, so i'll be looking by myself. no need to spend time on this when you can be doing more important things."

You both keep moving.
Eventually, you arrive at a hill that overlooks the base.
It's a decent size and has guns mounted on the top of it and everything.

Faith: "What? We're going to head there next... wherever 'there' is. We're in western France, do you plan on walking all the way to Italy?"
She sounds almost angry that you want to leave.

Georgia: "No, no, no, we can get it... I just wasn't sure if... You know, if you wanted... it... S-sorry."
She looks worried.
Georgia: "Are you... okay?"

"when the time comes i'll have to go on my own. i can't have you all looking for something that might as well not exist for my sake. this is my problem, not yours."

Give her a quick one-armed hug before going into the building to get my sister's head once more

Faith: "W-well, I need to meet this scientist as well. There, it's both of our problems now."
She folds her arms.
Alyona: "Is that why we're here, to go meet some science guy?"
Faith: "There are a couple of reasons. And, yes, that is one of them."
Alyona: "Well, where is he?"

You get a good look at the entrance.
It looks quiet for now.
However, inside the base's perimeter, there appears to be a lot of movement.

Georgia: "Okay..."
You head inside and grab your sisters head from the first building.

"Let's go back to the base, then... Sorry for dragging you here for nothing"
