I guess this board was poorly managed from the start. it was announced without a definite intent or purpose.
so it simply became "whatever", a board for things that didn't fit on other boards.
in result it got quickly occupied by namefags, avatarfags and just fags. different attention seekers who need a whole board to fit their egos. or two. or three.

you Americans get extremely butthurt when anyone makes any complaints about anything. you can't ever bear someone doing it without calling them lazy, entitled, and shifting all responsibility on them.
I think the board is half-failed. I gave my reasoning above. it's not a fault of one guy complains. IMO it's 90% unclear goal of the board, 9% cancerous posters, 1% lack of original content.
what can posters realistically change? very little. there has to be a leverage for change, and this leverage is board rules. so I think all one can do to help make the board less bad is report avatarfags for now. and don't participate in namefag blog threads (but I guess you already knew that).
