Uhm not really set in stone, but it's not that hard. It's just the same regular carbonara recipe but instead of just meat you also add some asparagus.

Break two to three eggs, add some cheese, pepper and oregano, and mix it all in a cup. Bake your preferred choice of ham/bacon/pancetta in some butter, garlic and asparagus and in the meantime cook your spaghetti. Once both are done throw the meat, asparagus and pasta together on a very low heat and steadily stir the egg mix into it. The eggs should thicken just enough to resemble a sauce, but not enough to actually be fully cooked into solid matter.

Would it be possible to make it without the meat?

Ok, thank you. I never had carbonara so I didn't know what usually goes in it but now I do.

Hmmm carbonara without meat. That's very strange but it might work. I'm definitely not an expert chef but my first instinct would be to add one or two more veggies. Maybe some dried tomatoes. Maybe some rucola. And definitely add a little salt, normally the salt flavor comes from the meat which you will be missing otherwise

Thanks
I don't have much experience with cooking anything outside of the simplest things, but ill try making this tommorow.
On a side note: whats the Best dish you can think of that doesnt contain meat or fish? Ive been a vegetarian for half my life but I don't know how to make any good vegetarian dishes

Well best obviously depends on your taste but I love this junedarville.com/hutsepot.html
The recipe has meat and chicken stock but you can easily ditch all that and use veggie stock instead

i made chicken noodle soup today its kinda like a tradition here to make it on sundays

Thanks, ill try making this is the near future too

cooking is just sort of hard to get into because you don't know where to start
but eventually you learn by just throwing together stuff you like and seeing what works
