Not any more, I never had any problems with bugs. It's basically a medieval immersive sim, very slow paced and methodical, but you can solve quests in a variety of ways like deus ex. You can knock people out while they are in bed (or slit their throats), rob them blind and go see them the next day and they'll act all groggy and weird, like they aren't sure what happened last night. You can steal their clothes and they'll wear whatever they can find. I like all the little details and interactivity.

M&B's not bad, but everything apart from combat is pretty shallow and micromanagey. Like, yeah, you can marry a princess, but you don't interact with them at all apart from appointing them to some council job. Yeah you can assemble a band of unusual generals in your entourage, but they don't do much apart from letting you send them off to bolster your reputation.

I'd kill for Warband or Bannerlord to have something akin to Total War's family system where you get married, have kids, they become your heirs or get married off to secure alliances, and eventually you die, and continue playing as your heir. Travel/quick wait time in Warband works out to about 1 hour real time = 1 year game time, so it's not completely unfeasible to play through several generations in a campaign.

It really isn’t unless the two dlcs improved it. The religious victory is what the ai spammed in vanilla and you can’t use military to kill the missionaries. You can’t denounce or make the ai stop being a faggot about religion or they all declare war on you, even the ones you’re allied with that hate the religion civ, because you’re not nice. Every ally hates you after a while and the ai goes warlord or religious douche every game
