I spent ~50-60€ on TF2 over the years.
Did a lot of trading over the years and now have 900€ in Dota/TF2 skins

I speak it and put my phone and PC to Japanese to make sure I don't forget it since I can occasionally go through longer periods where I don't use it much.

Wargame is a slow paced snoozefest and ruse is more engaging in general. Also there are too many units in wargame and no base building so you cant accurately predict what your opponent is going to do. Also half of the game is just waiting in the treelines for your opponent to make a move

I like to do the missions like a stealth ninja. Far Cry 3 I played the most but it wasn't on steam. Far Cry 4 kind of boring world.

Blood Dragon I didn't actually play 97 hours, just have a tendency to forget to turn off games. Same with Football Manager 2013, I think I played it for like 5 hours lol

I actually haven’t moved into competitive TF2 yet. I’m confident enough to say that I think I’m pretty good, but to me competitive removes all of the fun that made me like the game in the first place. I’m sure one day I’ll try it out

Anons, what is the appeal of TF2? I tried it out for 30 hours or something but I dont get it, is it justa worse overwatch? I like overwatch, it is a really good competetive hero based shooter, that relies on skill. But TF2 seems so unpolished, so casual you know? There isn't even a proper ranked latter right? (I have seen a vid about the ranked mode but it said that it didn'T work, does this still stand true?) so how can I strive to become good in the game, if there is no incentive??

TF2 has stood the test of time for 12 years, has over 100 official maps, has practically unlimited weapon combinations, takes skill, is very friendly to custom content (steam workshop, sfm (the thing in which ow porn is created lmao), hammer (make your own maps) etc.), better character customisation, unlimited amount of custom content, 13 official gamemodes (compared to overwatch's 3), many unofficial gamemodes and the list goes on.

Meanwhile Overwatch stakes less skill, has less diverse gameplay, is hostile to custom content, has shit maps and revolves around the Q button. Wow, what a hard choice!

If you want to play comp tf2 then first get good at the regular game, because comp tf2 is not noob friendly. You have the in-game competitive mode, but it's a joke nobody (seriously nobody) plays. Once you get decent you can try sites like tf2center.com for hopping into comp games, and etf2l.org or ugcleague.com for getting a team and getting actually good. I will leave the rest for you to discover :)
