Yeah. Massive Attack, Sneaker Pimps, and other "Female Vocal" bands that don't necessarily fit into the genre.
I like a lot of Nirvana's songs, but if I'm being honest, I'd have to go through their entire discography and meditate on a handful to pick one. They just produced too many good songs.

When I think of stereotypical American bands I think of Glam metal bands, not thrash. Metallica seems to me even kinda Nordic-alike.
I love ...And Justice For All. It's my favorite metal album. I like Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets but more in the same level than Megadeth and Slayer. Kill'em All, the Black Album, Death Magnetic and Harwired are still OK.
But I really fucking hate Load, Reload and St. Anger. My ears bleed when I hear any song of those shitty albums.
