Weight is primarily a result of diet. Exercise helps but not as much as managing your diet.
Exercise is more important for strength and hypertrophy (muscle size) and cardiovascular health than for weight maintenance.

i know it. its actually not too bad. Im just going to start going for 6ish mile runs every other day. i may be getting a little chubby but my cardio still holds up. then i just gotta stop eating snacks at midnight which is the hard part but actually being more active makes me less hungry overall which makes no sense.
ill post results when i hit the 25lb mark, which im thinking should be about a month if i play my cards well

i used to weigh 200lb (im rly tall) fpr years and years. then 6 months ago or so i was entered in a jiujitsu competition and had to be at 204lb. i thought it would be no trouble but i weighed myself at 216. my metabolism slowed way down recently. ive always been a ravenous glutton who is bound for the 3rd layer of hell. its actyally embarrassing. but my body burns a metroc fuckton of calories so ive always gotten away with eating disgusting amounts of food.
i missed that 204lb cutoff but made it for the 2nd competition i did...
but yeh this time were gonna get down below 200 and actually see my abs for once in my life

I can relate. I used to be in a similar spot but I improved a lot.
Even though exercise doesn't really directly help that much with weight, it's a good habit and will definitely help with discipline and self-esteem.
