What's your favorite game, Jow Forums?

For me I'd say Skies of Arcadia since the game is full of color and life. I also love the Grandia games.

It really is though. The base game is fine and not what I have any issues with. It's that Fortnite is one of the flagships of video games just becoming a microtransaction hellhole. I'd much rather prefer paying a big price for a complete game than play an incomplete game with shit skins.

I never buy skins and I personally hate microtransactions. If you play for free it should be okay. Besides, there isn't exactly anything hidden behind a paywall (well, apart from the "Save The World" mode).

Also, Fortnite isn't the only culprit for microtransactions. Just look at EA (and 90% of every game developing company in existance).

currently jericho for nostalgia reasons but its actually absolute garbo and you shouldn't play it unless you like being confused and lost and playing nothing but the explosive sniper lesbo and placing your team as far away as you can

Dude, the Dreamcast died 20 years ago. Also I was one of those who played Phantasy Star Online II till the servers went radio off in 2008 I think. It was better than WoWshit even before WoW ever released.
Also ChuChu Rocket online was the shit for Dream.

Any city building games or open world shooting and/or driving games.

Xenogears definitely.
Trails series would be number one but the conclusion of Cold Steel is one of the biggest dumpster fires I've seen in a JRPG and retroactively ruined everything beforehand.
Special mention to Wild Arms 3, Dark Cloud 2, Dorf Fort and Mount & Blade Warband

Not particularly a favorite I'm really enjoying the new Fire Emblem a lot, and I usually don't like nu-Fire Emblem.
