When you visualise something can you LITERALLY see the things that you imagine?
If so, please go into detail on how it works. Is there an imaginary image being projected onto your inner eyelids or something? I don't understand.
If you can do this what is the point of TV and the internet? If I could produce images just by thinking, I would never need porn, tv, internet, or any other kind of entertainment ever again.
Do what? This is my point. Explain your experience of visualization. Can you literally see things?
I get a vague sense of an object's form by thinking of it, but I can't actually see anything. It's almost like feeling your way around a room in the dark.
Jordan Gomez
> When you visualise something can you LITERALLY see the things that you imagine? Nah, can't see much.
>I would never need porn, tv, internet, or any other kind of entertainment ever again. Maybe you won't need porn, but you will have to use other stuff because being lonely and producing content in your brain and then consuming is seems like schizophrenia.
Michael Walker
>When you visualise something can you LITERALLY see the things that you imagine? not literally you see it in your mind almost like having an eye inside your mind and if you concentrate you see through that eye >Is there an imaginary image being projected onto your inner eyelids or something no but closing your eyes makes visualising the images easier i can still visualise what i think about even with my eyes open >If you can do this what is the point of TV and the internet? If I could produce images just by thinking, I would never need porn, tv, internet, or any other kind of entertainment ever again. you could do that but you would need to constantly think about stuff to see and why think if you could just watch on tv tho i do find myself a lot just siting for 20-40 mins just visualising scenarios in my head like battles ,interactions with people, how other planets would look like .how saturn would look like if it was as close to the moon , when i jack off you also visualise the women or scenario in your mind but again that would mean that you would have to think about it so why think if you can just watch what you were asking is like asking why do birds not just fly 24/7 they have wings dont they ?
David Evans
> I get a vague sense of an object's form by thinking of it, but I can't actually see anything. It's almost like feeling your way around a room in the dark. Same.
Jordan Lewis

so what do you see according to the picture for me its 6 maby for you its a 2
Carter Barnes
Didnt mean to double post this.
William Adams
Do you see it just like looking at it with eyes or what? Can you please give us a detailed expression?
Josiah Wright
That happens. Jow Forums is a bit laggy because of all users
Nathan Thomas
Dude it's just dreaming with your eyes open and then projecting the dreams onto your surroundings it's not that hard
Christopher Roberts
with that picture i visualise the red star bringht red as in the picture you posted but then my thoughts wander off and it turns into a white flag waving in the air with a red star then turns into jap flag then finally i see pic related then back to the red star
maby its the dutch genes that makes it easy for us?
Cameron Bennett
basicly this
Andrew Young
It's sort of like a 2, but I really don't see anything. It's like I understand the object's form, and I can almost see a picture of it but if I try to focus on it, it goes away. It's very wierd.
Justin Thompson
so your are conceptualising the star instead of visualising it
Mason Allen
That sounds about right. I'm pissed though. So if you wanted to you could just visualize a naked girl walking into your living room and it would just play out in front of you like a movie?
Camden Adams
if i visualised her walking into my room and giving me a hug a can vaguely visualise how it would feel too but i would visualise it but again its not like watching a movie but looks the same like how your dreams look
Alexander Hill
Is this a rare thing? I've been able to do this since I was little. The only weird thing with my visualisations is movement. Like, If I imagine a stationary wheel, for example, I can make it spin easily and look around it from any direction but I have to concentrate very hard to make it stop spinning. It's easier to just start again from blank.
Thinking of the picture in OP's post, I saw number 5 if I took the image as is. If I changed the background to white it was easier to make it full red like 6.
So...am I an NPC?
Caleb Jackson
yeah like if i think about a spoon i can make the spoon rotate and move and the spoon is 3d
Blake Torres
Unless you've been trying for years on end without results it's just a zoomer cope pathology. Read books and see if you can stimulate your imagination, the problem of kids is that they don't have to exhert themselves to imagine anything thanks to games and movies. I used to think i was affected by it until i got into reading.
yeah there is no way you could read without visualising what you are reading
Hunter Wright
I can imagine anything in full color, sound , taste , sight , smell , and feel
Leo Diaz
It takes time to get used to it, if you can't visualize after months or years then you might have a problem.
Colton Cooper
Yes, but way more complex than simple objects. People, places, even doing impossible things like flying. Seems weird explaining this. Literally, anyone can do this.
William Turner
it seems that there are people who cant do this they cant visualise thing in their minds eye
Asher Long
>If you can do this what is the point of TV and the internet Because you can learn things that are true from the internet and you can learn about novel things on TV that help you create more stuff . It also takes effort to do
Jason Wilson
same i thought everybody could do this
Jordan Perez
Also I can switch through 0 -6
Nathaniel Powell
I'll try this then. I've never been big on reading, but I do remeber conceptualizing whatvvthe characters look like while reading books as a kid. The difference is I can't just project those images into my perspective. It's more like have a vague image floating around somewhere in the back of my mind. The only way I could ever focus on it is to draw it.
Juan Carter
Not being able to do that is uncommon. Most people can . Some people imagine words or properties instead the object
Jonathan Brooks
People conceive images in different ways, books just give you instructions on the content, it's up to the person to build the images in their own mind.
Daniel Jones
mine might be a bit too vivid like i easily turn shadows or things on the ground or patterns into an image or give it a form of its own its why i struggle to sleep in the dark because i keep seeing shapes faces or my clothes on the flour turning onto a creature if i just think about it a little i can easily scare myself by imagining somebody behind me and it feels very real
Wyatt Clark
I don't get scared at anything. I don't really have troubles with turning noise into images either . anyways here is a video about aphantasia. youtube.com/watch?v=KuWSh4n5AiI
Lincoln Sullivan
>Is there an imaginary image being projected onto your inner eyelids or something? No, I think people that can't see the things are just approaching it wrong. Think of a flag or a red star being printed. And it's not like it appears in my vision field, even if I have my eyes closed, I can only get to 5 averting my eyes from the place I'm trying to form my image.I can have a six easily just imagining something outside my vision field, it's even easire if I have my eyes open because it's not dark and those residues of light don't confuse me.
Charles Cooper
I didn't watch the video btw so I might be talking about some other thing
Brayden Moore
yeah i might just have overactive imagination
Bentley Collins
>unteramericanoid thread alert Every human who can imagine, thinks still entirely differently, has another understanding of the world and will experiencing their own moments of creativity.
How do comic artists, fantasy autors, architects, clothes designers, sculptors, musicans, video game devs and such people make things happen? With imagination and the hard work of bringing the nothingness in their minds on "paper". You have to learn to become good in visualizing and working with your own hands, eyes and ears, learning the latter ones needs years of practice, even if you know what you want to do you will not bring it into reality if you aren't skilled enough with your body.
I instantly saw with your shitty example after closing my eyes and imagining the key words "red and "star" a thick shining rotating gem like five-pointed red star in pure darkness, so I can't even give you a number, maybe 7. I aren't skilled enough to show you it, but I want to get to this point in the future, yet I'm a stupid piece of shit not getting to work harder even if I want it.
The ideas and creativity of entertainment products from others will brighten your own horizon of imagination, everyone has at least one thing in mind no one else could even imagine.
