Because of cute girls and cause they think it leans into their views because of it being more liberal with sex, when in reality that's just because Japan wasn't influenced socially with the same viewpoints of Abrahamic religions as in the west. It isn't uncommon for westerners to get uncomfortable when they see an anime scene that doesn't correlate with their views and whine about it on twitter.
