how did they even measure the happiness anyway, this study sounds like bs. I mean I get that uncompressed sounds better, but most people have shitty headphones/stereos anyway, and I'm sure that places a big part into it.
For example if I have an uncompressed song and play it in some shitty apple airpods, it's not gonna make a difference that's it's wav or flac or ogg

I am not bothered to practice the test. But I'm pretty much confident of my ability to distinguish the highest resolution mp3 and wav by my ear. I'm right now listening to the wav in my audio player and I feel as if the sound has life. It's a pure pleasure.
I used to be addicted to listening to my favourite CDs. But when I replaced them with mp3 files and mp3 player, I stopped my habit to listen to music.
