Career advice

Hey Jow Forums I'm in need of some serious career advice.
I got two job offers, one in France and one in the UK. I'm currently in Commiefornia

UK Job:
> £50,000+ starting
> good benefits, complete job safety
> medium provincial city, lower COL than London, potentially a bit boring

France Job:
> €50,000
> small startup, so fairly risky but working atmosphere is chill af
> in Paris

Which should I go for? 32, married with a kid. I do not like French people very much but the UK seems like a very drab place. I know yuropoors won't be up for another couple hours but if anybody has experience working in those countries, I'd love to hear about it. I speak both French and English so language is not an issue.

>in Paris
Take the UK job. Unless the UK job is in Birmingham.

State the UK job's city.
It matters, a lot.

Also can a UK bro enlighten me about taxes there?
I've tried online simulation but it looks like I get no deduction for having a kid and wife who doesn't work ?
I'd only pay 2k in taxes in France, but I'd have to pay £13,000 in the UK. That's fucking outrageous.
I thought the French were supposed to be the socialist commies.

UK is cool but the weather is shit. France is great.
UK about to get fucked in the anus by painful brexit negotiations, for example flying to europe might get way more complicated and annoying.
Wouldn't move there until that's cleared up.

Uk no doubt Paris is a shithole...

Also this is an English speaking board, you're going to get a way more feedback from the UK or Ireland (eg. me)

Leeds

What's wrong with Paris? It's an ok city, if you ignore the people.

depends on how many mudslimes you'll have to look at, or go near, that's pretty much the only thing you should be looking into.

That's fine, I have lived in France in the past, so I am actually more curious about the UK

Definitely the UK then.

>ignore the people

exactly. a cozy UK town with hopefully less "multiculturalism" would definitely be my choice, especially since you have a young child.

plus europe is small so you can easily go visit places during the weekend

50k in Paris will get you fuck all. Plus the outskirts are practically ghettos now.

don't take the job in france, yes it's nice to visit for a week in the summer, but let me tell you working there is the most boring and depressing experience you will have

Leeds wasn't a bad place last i looked, a bit boring i suppose but if you want excitement you can always head up to manchester and tell them how shit manchester united/city is.

Which city in the UK? This is important.
Oddly enough I also do not like French people very much

Leeds is alright, I generally prefer the more northern cities as they are a bit more.... white

That's a nice consensus there. Thanks for your input brothers. I was actually leaning more towards going to the UK.
Though the taxes thing has got me a bit worried, will I really have to pay that much? Is there no way to file taxes jointly? Or claim some benefits for an unemployed spouse or a kid?

this guy is spot on about Birmingham, haven't seen a single decent looking girl here. Can't wait to leave this shithole

>What's wrong with Paris?
Full of niggers and Muslims, always riots.

Attached: Paris 2016.webm (460x264, 2.01M)

Pretty sure you pay like 20% on first 35-40k and then 40% on the rest and tax free allowance of first 11k something like that

I think theres a fair few muslims in Leeds also to be fair not as bad as Bimingham though if that is an issue

same, the northern areas are poor as dirt but they're mostly white and the people there are better.
teanigs sure do love their tax and licenses for pretty much everything.

What about his family? Where will his kid go to school? The UK school system isn't so good unless you go private

School are not that bad, NHS is nice also...

netsalarycalculator.co.uk/50000-after-tax/

I think his kids will be better off in a white city.

Moved from LA to southern France 2 years ago so can probably give you good perspective:

Paris is a real big city, wherever you are going in the UK is not. That’ll make a huge difference. If you’re coming from SF or LA you might get bored fast in a small town.

France standard of living is a little higher than UK. UK has a bunch of weird shit that I can’t really stand - ridiculously big plugs, weird toilet flushing systems, non-mixing taps, need to have a pull cord for your light switch in the bathroom, driving on wrong side of the road, etc. France is a little more similar to the US in that regard.

If you don’t speak French well (level B2 or higher) you’ll be pretty socially isolated in France.

If you’re looking to just explore Europe Paris is probably a better hub and more central than a small town in the UK. Also exploring France has been way more fun than exploring U.K.

Is this long term or short term? I only picked France because I’m only going to be here for a few years max. Otherwise culturally it’s a little bit too different than home. If I had to live in Europe forever I’d rather live in the UK - culturally it’s just more familiar.

Also I’d youre a huge alcoholic UK is definitely better - socially acceptable to get blind drunk on a weeknight there. Definitely not in France.

French public schools aren't that great either.

That sounds outrageous.
If a couple makes 40k each (80k total), they would only pay 16k in taxes. But if a guy makes 80k and his wife 0 they'll have to pay twice as much? That's absolutely unfair.

>netsalarycalculator.co.uk/50000-after-tax/
yes, there's no option to claim deduction for an unemployed partner or a kid. In France I'd only pay £2k in taxes, so like £10k less...

I speak fluent French but I guess I would feel more at ease in an Anglo culture although what you describe about the UK feels pretty fucking alien. I'm from Fresno and autistic so I don't mind being in a boring place.
I'll most likely be there long term (> 5 years)

looking at what you've wrote, I'm thinking you'd probably prefer Paris over Leeds.
Personally, I like the bongs and all the quirky shit. I just think you might find it and them a little hard to handle.

Leeds is a sharia law zone I'd avoid if I were you.
If you do decide to come here commute from some safe white village 1-2 hours away.

Attached: 1520888545779.png (497x304, 177K)

The quirky shit I'm not a big fan of, but in my limited experience the bongs are much better people than the French.

Thanks for all the input guys.
If any brit could enlighten me on the tax thing, I'd be all set.
Can't find much online but I guess I could try to call the Royal IRS or however the tax service is called there.

yeah was actually thinking about staying outside the city. surrounding countryside seems amazing.
surroundings of paris on the other hand, not much to see there.

While California is one of the worst states in the US it’s still light years better than either France or the UK. Both are cucked beyond belief in terms of the laws they have (no second amendment, hate speech laws, etc). You can’t even carry a fucking knife in the UK. Not to mention the serious Muslim problem both countries have. Don’t move unless you wanna get culturally enriched by some suicide bombers and have no chance of defending yourself.

Wow a lot of stereotyping going on in this thread. A lot of people spouting off opinions of england even though they’ve never been here.

Basically UK > FR that’s all you need to know. I’ve been to France many times it’s like going back 10 years in time. Music on the radio is shit, people dress funny and Paris has a thousand times the amount of gyspies and Moroccans and other undesirables.

You basically pay no taxes in france if you have 3+ kids

Don't listen to the plebs here... I was in the same situation as you 10 years ago (canadian) , I had to choose between Paris and London working for a Pharmaceutical company... I chose to work the first 2 years in London... it crushed me. Don't let Jow Forums fool you, work atmosphere, weather , food habits ... I left Ottawa thinking I'd marry, have kids , have a family in the UK.. I sunk into depression instead. After those 2 years , I was offered to move to Paris ... Although my French was basic, I accepted: Best decision of my life . I got a cosy flat in the Quartier Latin , and worked at La Défense (!) ... Dude , don't listen to what they say about the French .. in my +7 years experience, they're some of the friendliest people you'll meet, they always made me feel special as an "american" and offered to help me with my french. Working hours were chill, nights out with the coworkers felt like I found a new family.. and dude..french chicks.. youtu.be/Lle_GA1cg20?t=8s

Frog here, go to the UK.

He's going to Leeds, not London. London will suck the life right out of you no doubt but you'll get blown up at a football match or gunned down at a gig in Paris.

Property and rent dirt cheap in Leeds compared with Paris no doubt, but be prepared will be fucking baltic in the winter

Wow, I was just about to say how biased this clearly pro-UK thread is... I'm Canadian born in the US, and I always found weird how folks back home always seem to believe that the French don't like em , while it's CLEARLY the other way around... Been living in Paris for almost 8 years now, will soon marry, I'm telling you guys, they love all things american here.. There's more McDonald's und Burger Kings in the "Arrondissement" where I live than in my neighborhood back home, not even joking

>they love all things American

That’s because French people suck

Brit here, no question , go to Paris... I myself am hesitating between Paris and Toronto. Can't wait to leave . If you don't take the job in Paris I'd be more than happy to apply there for you

cant you get a job somewhere else

It's in those moments I'm glad the French made you a country . I wouldn't have wanted to share Canada with folks like you..

Nuff said

Attached: paris.jpg (3140x2040, 2.95M)

dude stop reading so much Jow Forums. You’re as likely to get caught up in some terrorist shit in France as you are in a mass shooting in America. I’ve had a mass shooting in both my hometown and 10 minutes away when I was living in LA. Friends who were at the Vegas shootings and an airport mass shooting. Everyone just shrugs and goes on with their lives.

It’s the same way in a France, so if you’re chill with mass shootings in America you should be chill with the random European terror attacks too.

Leeds is justed... to close to Bradford(Stan).

Although if you live north of the city and commute you’ll be alright. I’d personally live around teeside/the boro (south of the huge industrial complexes so you don’t get cancer). Areas a bit rough but the people are lovely. This is coming from a Geordie who lives in Norway though.

On 50k gbp you’ll live like a king in those areas. On 50k euros in Paris, enjoy listening to Pier bang his missus because you’re going to have room mates in order to stay away from nigger areas.

Will admit though as an earlier poster pointed out... French girls... hnnnng

I’d cheat on my wife for a French girl

Pathetic. I was in Paris recently. Total shithole place feels empty, just a lid of soldiers walking around and illegal immigrants trying to sell you Eiffel Tower keyrings. McDonald’s burgers with sweet corn in them and tiny cups for drinks. Weird ass place. And all the fit French girls already moved to London to get better pay.

Tahst right goy, its perfectly normal for people to be shot and blown up in the streets, it's all part an parcel of living in a beautiful multicultural society. Perfectly normal.

Leeds is a boring ass city. Go for Paris any time!

Well it’s kind of the expected result of invading other countries and bombing the shit out of them. You have to expect some consequences. If you don’t like being shot at and blown up maybe you should have protested harder against all these wars we started.

More like it's stupid to invite them to live here after bombing them

UK but be ready to flee to mainland Europe

I didnt know france was bombing africa
Thx for enlightening me user

leeds is full of niggers and pakis if thats not your thing id recommend against it

what job is it OP??

UK people telling to go to Paris, Frogs telling to go to UK.

Conclusion of the thread: no one likes where they currently are.

I'm from Leeds and the cost of living is pretty cheap here. No Paki problem like Birmingham or Bradford either and we're close to lots of national parks like the lake district and the Yorkshire sales.
Plenty to do on a night out as well but probably underwhelming to an American.

Best area to move to is probably Adel, but if you have somewhere in mind let me know and I'll tell you if it's good or bad.

grass is greener on the other side. Both are shitholes though

UK brah that hates what the UK has become but would never move to france. UK working class people are some of the best people you will ever meet(Though not as good as 10 years ago). Taxes are disgusting, but its up to you if you are going to save or enjoy the experience.

Theres a lot to do but you have to kind of force yourself onto some brits to have a good social life (we aren't really interested in tourists or give a fuck about what you miss about the US)

This island has everything, rich history and lots of "old england" places(seasides/villages), modern big city nightlife & culture, good food choices(lots of chinese buffets/indian curry houses/fish and chip shops). Everything is within driving distance since we are a "small" island.

They are. They helped to bomb Libya and Syria. They are also a member of nato which makes them collectively responsible for the illegal wars of other nato members such as the us and uk

>Leaving America for Europe
Why the fuck would you want to do that?

France. The UK is heading to epic recession due to BREXIT. You'd lose your UK job soonish anyway

Did they bomb morocco and somalia too? The country is full with this subhuman trash. Did the netherlands bomb the antilles? Did germany bomb turkey? Kys you faggot western europe is collapsing under a flood of shitskins and no we dont deserve this

Paris is the sandnigger capital of Europe, it'll be the future caliphate hubcity. And what's more the few (((white))) people who still live in Paris are arrogant, nasty pricks who can't drive for shit. Paris is ideally situated for travel around Europe, but do you really want to move somewhere for how easy it is to get away from?

Companies actually give a shit about their employees in Europe?
Also California has retarded taxes, so it's not like OP will be paying more in taxes in Europe.

The immigrants are a seperate issue. They are imported by the elites to keep wages down. The fact that some of them could be from the 60% of the world that justifiably harvours a grudge against the west for various very good reasons is hardly unexpected.

That explains a lot.

Married couples have joint taxation in most western countries. So if you make 80k as a family you get taxed the same as two people making 40k each.

Taxation is theft anyways.

You're taking advice from peasant northerners that keep saying Leeds it alright

This is how the average demographic of the male from northern England

Attached: image.png (207x243, 7K)

50k up north in Leeds, you’ll live like a King. Dunno how the cost of living compares with Paris. I’m from East Yorkshire and I think Leeds is quite a nice city

>keeping wages down
Being this naive. Ease up on swallowing everything the jewbox tells you. Shitskins are imported to wipe out white people and destroy hegemony in white countries to weaken them so kikes can inherit the earth. All those wars you talk about are orcastrated by Jews to maintain their ability to print money and hence enslave us all and also create Greater Israel.

>This is how the average demographic of the male from northern England

Attached: images-1.jpg (244x206, 9K)

Don't listen to those Burgers, ask a Eurofag who lived half a year in both countries (London/Brighton and Paris): Paris is a shit hole. It's only nice for vacation. London though is fucking amazing, I loved it there. Brighton is beautiful too. UK People are just fun and easy, France people are all arrogant and boring.

Also People in Paris see you only as a walking money bag if you're not french.

He's not joking. I earn £14k on t'other side of the Pennines and still have spare money to spend after all bills are gone.

50k you can get a nice big detached house in a grand area. In leeds your about a 2 -3 hour drive to half the country, with a direct rail to london ~ 2 hours, even (most of) the mussys aren't bad.

Attached: 1 olXs2CaOEdoLHdIHWWneqg.png (1232x696, 94K)

OP, don't move to either. France is multiculture central in Europe and the UK is a shithole. Britbong here, as well as ridiculous wage taxes there are taxes on every fucking thing you can imagine. Most of your wage will go to the government one way or another. TV licence, road tax, council tax, vat, income tax, it goes on and on. In France you will be an outsider even if you speak fluently. Always. The French are xenophobic as fuck which is ironic given their country is full of people of colour. Cali may feel bad but trust me, it can get a lot worse.

Source:I've lived in all three places. Currently back in UK.

Leeds is a fun lively city but there are a lot of arabs so no matter what you choose your kids are getting raped.

You ever ever had to talk to some upper middle class artsy person about anything?
That's what the average white person in Paris is like, they will outright leave in disgust if you say something they don't like with a foreigner accent in french.
Let alone if you don't speak french, and that's the best part, rest of the city is arabs who wear garbage bags, bearded dudes who can't into the first world and a LOT of niggers, some of them are ok, in fact a few are better than the white french, that if they don't come straight from africa.
The ones that weren't raised as french are literal ooga booga.
Call me racist idc, been there done that, absolute shit city, Paris is pretty and nice to party but every day life is a pain in the ass, have fun with their traffic too, public transport is ok tho.

England is much better for an american, specially with ur wage, can be boring like you said but if London or any major city is close then you can have fun.
I would rather be bored than constantly annoyed.

Hardly alien, he's just had an autistic fit im a bathroom. We have mixing taps and our plugs are best in the world. Plus our women shave and haven't fucked every non-white in their town by age 15.

this guy gets it

Except islam has been enacting terror long before foreign involvement, muslims are terrorizing nations with no history of middle eastern politics and terrorists themselves are often 2nd generation immigrants with no experience of the middle east. Oh yeah also dabiq ran that article explicitly stating terror wasn't in response to that, it is purely down to wanting non-believers dead.

Read. A. Fucking. Book. You. Idiot.

Viennese here

I'd go with France, but I'm not entusiastic over either option desu. Netherlands or Germany would be better.

I can clearly tell that you are under the age of thirty due to the fact that you don’t have a clue about recent history.

It doesn’t matter what they “say” the fact is those clerics wouldn’t get the attention they get now if everyone in the Middle East wasn’t mad as hell about the things being done to their people.

Did you think this all started with 9/11? Fucking baby

Good response, didn't respond to any of the points, threw in an ad hominem, demonstrates a total illiteracy of history pre 9/11.

I thought you were an uninformed leftist but with that car crash of a reply it's immediately obvious you are an arab.

£50,000 is more than 50,000 Euros.

Look up tax credits on www.gov.uk

I'm pretty sure you can get something back for a child on salaries of 50k and under.

There you go user.

Paris is a shithole full of niggers and Muslims. The French are rude and unwelcoming. Take it from a French guy.

>hesitating between Leeds and Paris
Absolute state of Jow Forums
I mean if you dont like big city life then dont go to a big city. Thats about your only question here.

Well you might like cities but not like filthy crime ridden arab cities.

leeds is cold and the women are ugly but you could afford a nice comfy house with ease. In paris you'd be a shit muncher who gets the bus to work

>implying the UK isn't already in a recession

delusional

The weather in Paris is as shit as London. Don’t confuse the south of France weather with Paris.

Oh shit, I work for engineering firm. When shit's hitting the fan?

i assume this must be some specific district or something full of homeless people? seems disingenuous to post that as if it's the norm, there's shit like that in nearly every major city in the world, we have an area like that here in Vancouver that everyone knows is shit and full of scumfucks
