So the whole "you pay more taxes for trading" thing is a meme? I'm in the position of putting 3k into crypto and was scared initially to day trade.

I use TA much more now than i used to.
By trading 19 hours a day you will eventually craft your trading theory that will work.
My most profitable methods in the last year were.
1. Arbitrage or moving funds between exchanges with too large price differenes
2. taking advantage of mistakes of large buyers or sellers.
3. buying dips and pumps and selling as soon as i make small profit and do this countless times.

Those methods don't really work too well now except the 3rd but it's much harder.

No I messed around with trading last year and turned 100 into like 900 and then cashed out. Just unsure if HODL is the best method this year or I should try trading

depends if you are good trader or not. If you have huge drawdowns or not. My biggest drawdown in a single day was 3% and it happened very rarely.

To make 3m from 3k within a year you "only" have to make 1.9-2% winnings per day. Seems achievable for a good, patient, and fomo resistant trader. I couldnt do it though.
