Honest answer to the uninformed.
Its where the 50 day moving average moves below the 200 day moving average on a daily chart. Historically it means the price action (50 day moving average) is below the long term movement (200 day moving average).
Doesn't matter what is traded---oil, bitcoin, amazon, etc--- it is usually a sign that bearish momentum will continue and often accelerates.
tl;dr: Technical analysis is already bearish on Bitcoin, and appears it may actually get worse. Soon.
