They have to first buy bitcoin, then send that bitcoin to an exchange, trade it for FUN token, gamble with it, cash out the FUN, put that back on the exchange, trade it for bitcoin, send it back to coinbase or wherever, and then cash that out for USD.

nobody is going to be exchanging tokens to use "dapps" in the future, and certianly not automatically, that would be the worst scenario, because it removes any incentive of sticking to one project when another without a token can be used in exactly the same way, but significantly cheaper.
