Or is the tension between different Asians - such as Japanese and Koreans - purely political? The instinctive in-group selection varies from racial population to population. The Japanese have a bit higher such property than mainland Asians. But the white race stands out pretty strongly in this regard, because as a race it has always been surrounded in close geographical proximity to genes that are dominant to them. Japanese for example have had the luxury of geographic isolationism, and even then they are only a couple of thousand years from the split from other east-Asians. While whites have segregated for tens of thousands of years to geographically close genetically dominant competitors.

It is a misconception, because when people talk about the ethnostate they're talking about a political demarcation based on race. But the ethnostate already exists. White people live segregated from the other races even in multicultural countries and mate-select accordingly. Sure, they are shrinking, but in the future there are still going to be white people who only mate-select for other white people. When miscegenation happens it's not that the white population becomes browner, it's that the white population becomes smaller and the mulatto population grows.
