They are clearly making good progress in the code. Rory said there isnt an exact date for mainnet release, but will be able to narrow it down when it gets closer. He also said the people they're working with won't be happy with a half-assed release so they will get it right the first time.

Also, there was already a pump to like 1.30 then massive dump after Sibos. It pumped again after that, so any ICO sellers already would have done so. The huge downtrend we've had is because of the market shitting itself, but we've bottomed out. Things will be rocky for a bit but the market as a whole will grow massively in the near future. The mainnet release will likely be at the perfect time to capture that growth. Link is a solid project aiming to capture a massive real world application. They clearly have all the big players locked in, there will be no competition that comes close.

you should be skeptical of any coin that gets shilled a lot on biz but chainlink and digibyte have almost zero in common other than that. chainlink shilling has been consistent since ico even after sibos when it dropped back to ico price. it didnt even reach peak shill until the big bull run in december and even then it never really mooned. if it were really an elaborate biz pump and dump on the newfags there a million other better options (verge, tron, etc). even now its only 2x ico and autists are still obsessively talking about it.

Link doesn't need swift to survive. The use case is so great that even if Swift or the other big players are not on board it will still make decent gains..
The ZeppelinOs partnership is a big deal meaning a whole new ecosystem of dapps will use Link as the Default Oracle service from the get go..
And If, and that's a big If.If the partnerships are true and The Chainlink team go so far as to let the partners decide when to announce it. Link is one of about 5 coins/tokens that people who hold it are not looking to offload on a greater fool. The ridiculous talk about the singularity or $1000 EOY is not a meme, insofar that the people spewing those lines are genuinely waiting for it. And they are willing to maintain that resolve because there is an honest to god chance that the Chainlink network could be a game changer. Chainlink is obviously a gamble, it's not that the concept is bad it's that you're betting huge amounts of cash that two spergs can actually follow through on their promises of a smartcontract supercoin. It's like betting on which company will be the next Amazon, it's not impossible that you'll hit it but you can't be delusional and assume you've made it because the product has a good idea behind it.

The thing is, you'll know before the year is out whether this is worth holding for certain. Mainnet will be here by Q3 at the lastest, allowing us to evaluate the finished product. If major partnerships are announced, it will be a confirmed safe long term hold.
