It explains in the article that the only thing keeping them from listing ripple is legal troubles about ripple possibly being categorized as a security by the FTC. Ripple is literally being held back by a legal technicality that will probably be fixed within the next five years. At which point, when more (((regulation))) comes in, the coin will be the only one that doesn't get slaughtered.
