Après le Tchad, l’Angleterre et la France
Le grand chemin qui mène vers Paris,
Le cœur joyeux tout gonflé d’espérance
Ils ont suivi la gloire qui les conduit.
Sur une France, une croix de Lorraine,
Ecusson d’or qu’on porte fièrement,

Saluant chapeau bas.
Division de fer,
Toujours souriants
Les gars de Leclerc
Passent en chantant
D.B. vive la deuxième D.B. !

Does today feel really boring or is it just me? I can't seem to enjoy things as much today as I usually do.

Attached: 1520606437648.png (640x480, 403K)

If our society seems more nihilistic than that of previous eras, perhaps this is simply a sign of our maturity as a sentient species. As our collective consciousness expands beyond a crucial point, we are at last ready to accept life's fundamental truth: that life's only purpose is life itself.

lol gay

Paddy Jackson and the boys will never get pussy again

If they go abroad to play rugby (which many expect Paddy to do at the very least), they'll be fine. This case has only been a bit deal in Ireland. It got a bit of coverage in the UK, but nothing beyond that.

At this stage they're just looking for things to be offended by.

I knew no good would come of that tweet for Ó Riordáin. About time there were some repercussions for blatantly virtue signalling while in public office.

Attached: 1513483688566.jpg (1000x1080, 183K)

why not

>getting sued for saying what you think

You do know that you can get sued for defamation? Regardless, a public representative shouldn't be virtue signalling in a way that essentially implies that a court didn't do it's job properly when he has no evidence to back up such a claim.

Attached: 1516328401194.jpg (1040x1080, 177K)

he shouldn't, but he should have the right to say whatever he wants user

>but he should have the right to say whatever he wants user
Well I didn't write the defamation laws. However, it does seem like the case is already on rather weak footing due to the way that defamation cases work in Ireland.

While normally I would agree that people should be allowed to say what they want, my own personal take on this is that we have a public representative undermining a decision made by a court of law based on zero evidence, just feelings. Public representatives should be held to a higher standard than the rest of the feminist horde on Twitter.

About to finish evangelion.
Sat in my underpants watching 18 episodes in a row since 10 o clock this morning.
Is this the thug life? Have I "made it"? When do I graduate from weeb university? Or is it weeb boot camp?

Plebeian: Shaving every day
Contrarian: Growing a beard
Patrician: Shaving often enough to not have a beard but rarely enough to often have a good amount of manly stubble
Thoughts?

>>MSG Origin
Not necessary, if anything a bad idea to watch immediately after 0079 since they alter the story slightly.

>Then what?
Either 0080 or Zeta. Don't watch Stardust Memory until after Zeta. Despite taking place before Zeta it was made after it as a sort of prequel so there are a good few plot points that don't make any sense without knowing Zeta.

Patrician post.

What colour beard?

That's just laziness.

>Is this the thug life? Have I "made it"? When do I graduate from weeb university? Or is it weeb boot camp?
Do you consider yourself to be on the same level as /éire/'s other resident weebs?

I thought the really stereotypically "Japanese humour" was a bit lewd and creepily pedophilic, in an infantilising kind of way, for little to no good reason, so probably not.

I think Michael Healy-Rae was onto something, lads. Just had a massive feed and now I'm exhausted.

Correction, it was Danny that said that.

What did he say?

Being clean shaved is the best I think so shaving as often as you need to for that look is the most patrician, be it every day or once a week depending on how fast your facial hair grows

hungover meself and got to thinking I've got much more immigrant friends than "native" irish. why are foreigners so based lads?

They probably thought that Ireland was a sane/healthy country and the way to get along was to be more open and amenable, something most Irish people are little shits about.

Playing monster hunter, lads

Finished Evangelion.
Utterly terrifying.

I hope you watched the proper End of Evangelion film, not just the end of the series.

Attached: 1468368181813.jpg (500x451, 58K)

>Watch all the shite movies made by a butthurt chink trying to ruin his own franchise xD

End of Eva not the Rebuilds you idiot.

Attached: 1480529887353.jpg (500x375, 28K)

That was the one that was terrifying.
Episodes 25 and 26 were boring, mildly amusing, and irrelevant to the plot which had clearly been developing, but almost everything in End of Evangelion was like going through a rollcoaster in hell while on LSD.
It was the closest I've felt since becoming a desensitized 4channer adult to the existential horror a child exposed to run of the mill horror movies feels. It was a nightmare, fucking traumatising even.

And to be honest it felt out of place with the preceding series.
The first 3 episodes were boring, 4 to 13 a by the numbers power-rangers style tweens show, then 14 to 20 (episode 20 above all) were in my opinion the high point of the series, though unfortunately this was probably because I was expecting the series to go in a completely different direction and have a coherent tone.
21 to 24 ruined the pacing and got a bit too "Japanese", but were still intelligible.

Overall I wouldn't recommend it, or at least not to bother with EoE.

>Bryan Dobson's name gets more applause than Geldof
For once I'm proud of the Late Late audience.

Ah shite, I forgot he was on. I guess I'll have to watch it on the Player later.

>21 to 24 ruined the pacing
They ran out of budget mate, hence the slideshow for the finale.

>Watch it on the Player
Such a task is Herculean for me, the terrible site never works.

There's actually evidence to suggest that they didn't run out of budget and it was planned to be like that from day 1.

Yeah, the RTÉ Player is the only reason I keep Microsoft Edge on my PC. If it even smells an ad blocker, it shits itself.

>don't have any problems with the player
>adblock even works without triggering the anti-adblock message
Yes I realise this makes me the maximum "works on my machine"fag.

Attached: Father Dougal is excited for his new job.jpg (1920x1080, 331K)

I used to be like you. Then RTÉ Player decided that I was no longer worthy of being among the chosen few.

What adblocker are you using?

Attached: 1511145917932.jpg (631x641, 53K)

Yeah, that was weird and a big, self-indulgent let-down, but nowhere near as offensive to my senses and sensibilities as EoE. At least in 24-26 they had to be creative with their use of visuals because they didn't have a massive budget and clearly a much more restrained censorship than the festival of sheer ugliness and the guy's mental illness that was EoE.
This is supposed to be a "gateway anime"? It's put me off the genre for good at this point. Dear God, it was appalling. Can't warn people away from the anime more vehemently at this point.

Attached: 752.png (411x580, 410K)

Yeah, I always tell friends that wouldn't be into anime to not start off by watching Eva. Plenty of safer picks for normalfags out there.

>What adblocker are you using?
uBlock.

>RTÉ Player decided that I was no longer worthy
You must have offended the telly gods. Offer penance by buying another TV license.

Attached: 9b66f043a67c7ca19af273fa2c9fa.png (1416x2006, 1.58M)

>uBlock.
Well then, I can only assume that you have family members working for RTÉ. That or you're some sort of wizard.

>You must have offended the telly gods
Anne Doyle?

Attached: 1502324483224.png (800x1115, 701K)

On the one hand I could perhaps feel relief for being a "normalfag", but on the other hand I was weirdo enough to spend a day out of my holidays watching what turned out to be twisted kaleidoscopic projectile bile vomit, and embarrassingly in hindsight enjoyed it up the point where it stopped being science fiction and started being vicious mental diarrhea.
So I feel dirty for having watched it. Will never give anime a second thought again desu.

>Dear God, it was appalling. Can't warn people away from the anime more vehemently at this point.
Hold on, were you not just praising Eva less than a week ago here on /éire/? Or am I mistaking you for somebody else?

Don't know. I watched about six episodes of it over the last month or so before speed-running the rest today, and I was fairly positive about most of it up until episode 21.
In hindsight it doesn't go anywhere and the annoying and shitty parts of the earlier episodes aren't worth subjecting yourself to given the conclusion(s - of which EoE is the worse).

>I can only assume that you have family members working for RTÉ
No but one used to work for Tele Gael. Almost did get a job for RTÉ out of it though.

>Anne Doyle?
Yes.

He called Will Ferrel a "big guy". I will take this completely intentional Banepost as an acknowledgement of our existence.

Immediate benefits don't come from working out "harder", except in the immediate post-excercise phase when your muscles are filled with blood in order to work efficiently, and therefore look bigger, but that wears off and isn't the actual "neutral" shape of your muscles. It's even less the case that when you eat the wrong food (especially if it's not actually excessive calories and just a food that is seen as "unhealthy") that it turns to fat, much less take away already developed muscles.

However, it might be the case that there is a grain of salt in the old wives' tales/bro science opinions on which foods and eating patterns are "bad", in that they mess with your bloodstream and endocrine systems, but there's so much utterly weird and varied shit floating around in modern chemical environments that there's hardly any way of knowing which independent factors cause what reliably. The internals of the body, especially chemical influences (because of the pharma industry) aren't actually all that well understood.

So no, it's just psychological for you. Play it as a long-term game.

>I wish I had an exciting life like Dobbo
Just wait for the Troubles 2.0 to kick off and become a journalist. Simple.

>Was Tubridy his usual insufferable self or tolerable?
I thought he was fine but maybe you have a lower tolerance for him.

It's better for things to be left to the next generation. We must put our faith in the new hope of Brian O'Donovan.

I think he's actually one of the best reporters RTÉ have at the moment. Those years at TV3 served him well.
