Ripple doesn't use XRP for transaction.
XRP selling is made to finance their project and bank blockchains with cryptoinvestors money.

I did buy XRP though, and I believe in ripples but XRP is a pump and dump scheme built to take your money and finance bank blockchain.
If I could I would invest directly in Ripples but their stock is not avalaible in exchange market and to own a share you need to have a capital of 150k minimum.
