Please use Metric units on Jow Forums

I shit on your stupid imperialist units that don't even make sense. No country on earth uses them more than the most overweight country in the world.

britain mixed? sounds about right

>don't even make sense
We understand thinking isn't really one of your strong suits, but we use both imperial and metric.
Why can you only understand one of them?

We only learn metric here. In most aspects of our lives, imperial reigns supreme.

Sure, for starters, i passed a metre of shit today, weighed about 2.5 kilograms

Fuck your country and its distance makers in myriameters.
Decimal commas are shit, too.

>makers
markers

Canada should be yellow. We still buy meat by the pound and wood by the foot but we us kilometers for distance and Celsius for temperature. Litres and gallons are often used both. Nobody here would ever say that they're 185cm tall.

I’m 140 pounds. What are you going to do about it.

Wow, you use the same units as Africans, Jews in Israel, Latin Americans and Muslims. You must be proud.

Every other country is shit. Imperial is for Empires, Europoor.

>brits
>white

You need to eat more meat and lift, skele-user.

Haha. This. But only do upper body workouts. Only fags concentrate on their own asses

what size are your wine bottles?

You're drinking wine from our grapes, Europoor - remember that.

what size, not trying to be funny

Come take my 8”

This is correct. Despite everything academic happening in metric, height, weight, measurements, and short distances are all imperial. If you talk to someone about height in cm they will 95% of the time say "what's that in feet?"

>metric system

Do you use metric time as well? No? Then shut the fuck up.

1.85m

You got so miffed of my use of imperial you made yer own thread? german autism in action

Nah. go divide yourself by 2 in metric you one track genius.

Dumb sour kraut can't do maths to switch between different units of measurement

FAGGOT

No fuck you

>calls me stupid
>uses the same shit stupid brown people use.
Pick one.

I think it's funny that you seethe so hard that we do one thing differently

Especially considering that metric is obviously a fucking globalist plot to standardize shit in preparation for a global-state, you absolute retard. Leave it to Germans to support kikeshit while crying about how everyone else are the jews.

Imperial master race.

>chart says only britain mixed
>disclaimer at bottom says that India, Australia, Canada and other Commonwealth countries are also mixed

Attached: confused.png (338x533, 204K)

mph is a 100 times better than kph, prove me wrong!

This is absurd.
Most countries still use some traditional measure units.

Here in Puerto Rico streets are labeled with KMs and meters, but we all use miles and feet.

No one here takes the metric system seriously.

Britain is the only one of those where even the government couldn't be bothered to go all the way with it.

>Metric or mainly metric
>Mixed

Fixed the retarded map.

Attached: 1568890457864.jpg (960x684, 381K)

Don’t forget Ireland they’re mixed too.

Fixed! ;D

3 wallmart sharts + 50 average murica dicks = 1 meter
i don't know what's so confusing about that

there's more than one way to measure a cat you pussy kraut.

>Be Euro trash
>Pride oneself on multilingualism
>Become pissy that customary units require you to learn something different

Imperial master race: White nations have many non-standard counting methods, which has helped advance the knowledge of mathematics considerably.

Why are there 12 inches in a foot? Because 12 is the sum of the smallest perfect right triangle. If you take a piece of string that has 12 equal segments (doesn't matter what size the segments are as long as they're all the same), join the ends, and stake it out at measured spots of 3, 4 and 5... You will get a right triangle. It is the most important mathematical concept ever to have been put to work, as every construction trade since ancient Egypt used this method to get perfect (as perfect as you can get, anyway) 90-degree angles.

Units that are a fraction of an inch are base-2, because dividing a segment into two equal parts with a straight-edge and compass is how this feat was achieved. The base-2 fractions can help a person with grasping the concept of binary operations more easily than a base-10 system.

Many things in nature are not base-10, as well.

I'm about 5 and 3/8ths arm lengths from punching you in the face, metricfag

My 23 cm penor

I think it's better to use our traditional measurement system. It works perfectly fine and there's no reason to change it other than autistic robot logic that everything needs to be base 10 because ...? who knows?

good retarded burger bait thread

Best thread of the year
And yes, hans is right

True

uncultured burger will not be able to reply to that as he frantically google bottle sizes for wine. just dont tell him the different bottle sizes for different wine type...

Sometimes metric is more useful, sometimes imperial. Inches are generally better for things you can hold with one hand. Cm is generally too precise, so likely to be rounded to 5s, whereas guessing things to an inch is about right. A pint is a reasonable measurement for a drink, but a gallon is a lot for a container, so I think even Americans will say 2 litres. Fahrenheit seems excessively precise for temperature.

Attached: 35132515.jpg (879x720, 132K)

I don't know why, but Fahrenheit always sounded English to me.

We will if you start speaking English.

it's only 1.6 times better, at best.

Also, stones are the superior measurement for weight. Using pounds only would be like giving your height in inches.

American website, Imperial units.
Or are you too dumb to use numbers other then 10?

>what size are your wine bottles?
1.3333 brown paper bag

yeah and celcius sound German to you right

'fahren'
sounds german to me.

>I shit on your stupid imperialist units that don't even make sense. No country on earth uses them more than the most overweight country in the world.
The USA is not the most overweight country in the world
>Most Obese Countries by Percentage: Cook Islands - 50.80%; Palau- 47.60%; Nauru- 45.60%; Samoa- 43.40%; Tonga- 43.30%; Niue- 43.20%; Marshall Islands- 42.80%; Qatar- 42.30%; Kiribati- 40.60%
and in the US we use both metric and Imperial while the rest of the world is using only the easy one where everything is based on 10's so even the most special kids can even do the math.

Highway speed is 60mph. That means 1 mile = 1 minute.

This is an American board. You are the foreigner here. You don't like loud annoying Amis in germany?

That's how you are perceived here. Fuck off if you don't like it.

>Puerto Rico
>claiming not to be US

Think again, buddy.

metric is for commies

>but a gallon is a lot for a container, so I think even Americans will say 2 litres
We use "gallon" all the time in everyday speech.

Seems like 2L is standard bottle size, though. Not x pints, or a gallon, or xx fl oz.

>We use "gallon" all the time in everyday speech.
Imagine the brain freezes at the gas station if it weren't so.

The mutt hatin kraut strikes again.

Soft drinks come in liters. Milk, juices, etc. comes in gallons, quarts, etc. Smaller drinks (like cans) are in fl oz.

Also gas (petrol) is sold by the gallon like the other user mentioned.

If you had an ounce of intelligence you would take a cup of your own medicine and come down to the bar and have a pint with me and we could stop and get a quart of milk on the way home and you can drink a gallon of my sperm

Box size.

We have ply and MDF sheets in 8x4 (2440x1220mm) and plasterboard in 2400x1200.

go fuck yourself metric is gay , funny how the best country is the only one that uses it

If you actually build things, base 12 makes sense. You can make halfs and thirds. Plus your units are too small or large for real world applications. Tell someone to cut a board 145 cm. And we have a huge country, best measured in miles

The Kraut can't grasp Imperial measures as it is all based on Pi like the measuring system the Pyramids were built using. They like base 10 as it suits autists.

This is the best explaination of Algebra. geometry, and physics i've herd.

Imperial units are better.

>best measured in miles
I remember when the Interstates used to have
(Insert city here) 100 miles / 161 kilometer signs.
Even those are gone now so the even the government no longer bothers to try to get a conversion over to metric.

This is for standardization of product and global trade.
Also socialist.

Yeah I work in a steel plant and trying to make the measurements with metric would be a nightmare, especially dealing with the margin of error for different product specifications. If something is 10ft 9 5/8in long and it can be +/- 3/32in then I can just glance at a tape measure and easily tell whether it's okay.
