lol what is this shit
Its so your REQ wont burn while stored inside i think?
Make sure you got the scratch card with the seed words on it. If you didn't receive the scratch card, send it back immediately. After this you can proceed normally, set up a PIN and install your desired app. If you want to store REQ on your Ledger, make sure to install and run the BurnGuard app BEFORE you send any REQ to your Ledger, otherwise your REQ tokens will still be burnt.
>REQ compatible burn guard
ufufu
Thanks! Installed it now. Is there any way to see if the BurnGuard is activated or not?
you have to send a portion to the burn contract to have it activated
Just watch your REQ count and if it starts going down it's not working correctly.
Make sure you lock in the prices of your coins during the next pump so that you can survive the next big dip. It's one of the only reasons to actually own a hardware wallet
Running it once is enough. If you run it again you should get a pop-up saying BurnGuard is already activated. It might be worth running BurnGuard every time there's a Ledger firmware update to ensure it's still active.
This is not needed. Ledger should do this automatically for you.
Yes, its the main reason i got the + model, to get the BurnGuard and the price lock features. How often do you check yours?
but some has to be sent to it so if it doesnt automatically do it you have to do it manually
They don't have scratch cards
Just be sure to get set up quickly o you can lock in your BTC before the price drops any more, user
Yes, they do. Mine smelled like strawberries.
This is wrong. You shouldn’t have a pregenerated seed.
Yes they do
Don't listen to this idiot
If you do have one then that means it is a preowned ledger and someone is going to steal your coins.

Honest question: How is this better than buying a $50-100 laptop and setting up parity or MEW on it?
You’re fucking retarded. The CEO of the company said it himself, if your backup phrase is pregenerated that means you’re being scammed.
its not
its just convenient
You can use a ledger for currency transfers on any taiwanese computer shop shit infested crapbox because your private key never leaves the ledger.
>using the pregenerated seed
why are ppl doing this?
But your key never leaves a laptop running MEW or whatever so what's the issue?
Costs the same or less than a laptop and has a secure chip so you can take it/use it anywhere on compromised/public devices. A laptop has so many different places where it can be compromised, even if it is never hooked up to the internet
usb with transaction that is signed must be put into a pc that may be compromised. You have to put that usb back in your laptop with your private key. USBs can carry malware payloads
So you are bringing this specific laptop everywhere you go? The answer is no.
>REQ compatible BurnGuard
:D
Thanks for all the help biz! Now my funds are safe inside the ledger and my REQ will not burn! I keep the ledger in my fireplace just in case though, cant trust such new and unproven technology completely.
