the big cities seem pretty comfy
the people seem pretty nice until you say the one thing you aren't supposed to
politics aside Russians are /goodguys/

Visited several times.

Not as bad as some people say.

Not as GLORIOUS WHITE PARADISE as some people say.

It's much more divided than western coutries; the big cities are rich, multicultural (all the brown people from Caucasus) and comparable to western Europe (hipster coffees and all that shit). Small cities are shitholes.

Depressing shithole

FINLAND WILL NEVER BE RUSSIA

stop creating this thread every day and fuck off

I don't hate it, good relationship that we have is much preferred over autists screeching at them

It's a corrupt, aids-filled, poor piece of shit of a country full of drunkards, rapists and thieves who still live with their mother.

Haven't been to Moscow but heard it's good.

St. Petersburg was rad.

I would want to see Moscow and Kazan

they're pretty cool guys and doesn't afraid of anything

Eternal enemy of the Finnish people that shall be triumphantly crushed by the million man army

it was, for over a century
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Duchy_of_Finland

Lel.

Even in supposed "presentable cities" ugly/dull commie blocks are still erected.

That is finland

It wasn’t really. Finland had a lot of autonomy during Russian rule and were free to practice their own religion, use their language, pass their own laws, etc.. This is the opposite of what Sweden did which was treat Finland as Eastern Sweden.

Great country

depressing and nothing fun to do. No car culture, no interesting landscapes, just an interesting history of struggle after struggle

Not very often.
Why?
What do you have to tell us about today?

Nice people with nice weather.

the grand dukes of finland were the russian tsars, of course it was a part of russia. it was just autonomous. is åland in finland not a part of finland then?

How is the Russian Far East like?

kek i knew it looked too clean to be rus

It's far.

I support their politics in so far as they act as a counter balance to american imperialiasm.
The people are a bit odd though, they're either funny mouthbreathers, intelligent but tinfoil conspiracy theorists, or whingey sjws

This retard not for the first time creates thread like this.

american imperialism is the friendliest, most autonomous giving imperialism in the history of mankind. You basically get shit for free

I wonder what's their percentage

That's retarded. That's like saying east Germany was freer as a soviet puppet than when it was a part of Germany. Österland was as Swedish as any other part of Sweden. It's own language etc. was Swedish. Finnish was not an official language in Finland until 150 years ago.

Yeah I figured

good for tourism, bad for living...

Imperialism is still imperialism, and to be opposed in all forms. I'm sure you'd find plenty of browns and blacks on every continent that would disagree with your comments, regime change and bombs are unfriendly regardless of whether or not it comes with a side helping of fries and films.

imperialism will always be a thing and the world superpower will always extend it's influence around the corners of the globe. Would you consider that the US is a particularly bad superpower compared to who could have potentially taken this role?

Imperialism is the ultimate stage of capitalism to create more markets when domestic demand is exhausted. If the next hedgemon is not based on capitalist principles then by definition there will not.be imperialism.
So my answer is it depends, on the way that china develops to.be specific

The USSR was imperialist and very adamant about conquering the world with Stalinist ideology. China is already doing imperialist things in Africa

you have a mess in your head bro
innternational was dead before lenin, stalinism was all about modernization through killing people in gulags and not about conquering the world

Stalinism was socialism in one country, actions taken abroad were a proxy war due to US action rather than a desire to spread ideology.
Although i agree that the actions taken by china in africa are unsavoury, i dont believe it can be classified as imperialism, just like i wouldnt say european nationa sucking out the wealth of africa right now arent necessarily imperialist

Then i am missing something here, what about all of the proxy wars in conflicted countries?

hot girls

>Oulu is a city in central Finland
since when

>what about all of the proxy wars
geopolitics
you'd rather have friendly regime across the world than bunch of countries which support your political enemy
america did that
ussr did that
doesn't means that either ussr or usa wanted to own vietnam or afghanistan as part of their land

i have never been to russia but thanks to Jow Forums im a russia expert now and i know that its an african shithole and the reason is because all russians are alcoholic brainwashed retards

this guys knows his stalinism en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism_in_One_Country
foreign interventions were basically literally anti-imperialism
helping foreign commie movements didn't hurt, but the way I understand it soviets thought pretty much that former western colonies freeing from western imperial rule would be sufficiently anti-western on their own to not warrant conquering them or putting under Soviet proxy rule
see this commie propaganda from vietnam war for reference

Lot of trees, i like that. Is there no Russian here who is from the Far East? Wiki can only tell me so much
