Any plans for the day, lads?
Maidin.
>plans
Eat eggs. You?
Looks like most Irish anons are peep team! I am a northerner btw and also peep team
Not sure, I'll probably have an uneventful day. Might get the oul' PS4 out again and play some Kingdom Hearts.
Fuck off traitorous scum
How does this teams thing work?
April Fools! Thanks for the (You) though
The current theory is that your team is assigned based on the last digits of your IP address, although we're still not sure how points are acquired. Some say it's (You)s, some say it's threads created, some are even saying it's random and has nothing to do with our posts.
Where do you see which team you are on?
It replace your ID, you're Creme btw.
It should be beside the word Anonymous, if you can't see it you might have to disable 4chanx or other extensions.
I see now, had to disable Oneechan extension.
Also creme a best, obviously.
Happy Easter
Would you DIE for Ireland? I probably would because it's not like my life is that great.
I think Ireland has too many "martyrs", and the cult of martyrdom is promoted because it doesn't challenge the real problems.
Make the other bastards die for theirs, as they'd say.
Why can't mods always be this based?
Can anyone explain this team stuff?
Typical creme scum. This country is built on martyrs how dare you!
Not to a Creme boi I won't
If you're not with creme, you're my enemy.
You are going to suffer, cumstain. Peep masterrace
Eating ice creme. Stay mad.
>never buy Easter eggs
>always regret it on Easter Sunday
I'm in that boat today.
Anyone watching the Leinster game? Conflicted who I want to win between West Brits and actual Brits
Always back the lesser Brit if you have to back a Brit at all.
This.
Anybody have snow today? Apparently some parts of the country do.
Sadly not, I'd have liked some more but will settle for what we had this winter. It was spectacular once in a lifetime stuff a few weeks ago.
First for delicious chocolate.
>I'm in that boat
Shouldn't be going "in" boats.
No, you do go in boats.
I'm watching Arsenal v Stoke la
>peep team watch the soccer
Wew.
>watching soccer
>posting shitty porn
As expected of team Peep.
>Blacked
FUCKING BASED
>Galway Dublin match doesn't start until 4
Damn it I thought it was 2. I woke up for nothing.
Went and got some chocolate. Now this Easter can truly begin.
>Team Creme
It's called football. What are you, Am*rican?
We have our own football, Britboy.
No this is football.
>playing football with your eyes closed
Is this a next level Connacht strategy?
And nationalists have the cheek to say sectarianism doesn't come from their side.
They're both football, I never see anyone use the term soccer here. Can't you detect the meaning of a homonym based on context? You'll never learn Japanese if you can't
>bandwagoning football as soon as the team show up for the first time in a decade
Typical Galwegian.
Where's open today?
>Japanese
shite country that has nothing but making cartoons to be proud of, don't even have a GAA team.
Why? It's not even an important game. The only soccer games worth watching as a neutral are the champions league knockouts or world cup / euros
What did you get? Have they discounted easter eggs yet or does that happen tomorrow?
Yes, yes, well done Peep.
HOWEVER
It's a well-known fact that the best GAA players are powerful psychics.
>You'll never learn Japanese
No one can learn Japanese. It's not even a language, it's a joke made by Chinese islanders to trick westerners as revenge for the Boxer Rebellion.
How is that sectarianism? Of course our own brand of football should take precedence when it comes to naming conventions. The Yanks and the Aussies do the same. It's especially relevant in Ireland's case considering how intertwined the GAA was with the Irish independence movement and the revival of Irish culture.
>I never see anyone use the term soccer here
Well that's hardly surprising considering it's a shit sport.
>don't even have a GAA team
japangaa.org
What about the idol industry or the cuisine?
Was on in the background, not even watching it now to be honest
>Dubliners call soccer football
>They call football gaaah
I hate them.
I don't care if we're winning I hate creme eggs. It's a hollow victory.
Supervalu, garages, not sure where else.
Bitsa Wispa. Not sure about easter eggs, I wasn't looking for them.
Creme can also refer to those newer cadbury ones that come in the 4x cartons with white foam stuff in the middle.
Worse than all that is when they then attempt to correct others who use "soccer" being so conditioned to British influence they believe it's an Americanism as the British do.
fan sounds like the whole computers about to explode it's worth it to not mobile post tho.
Chocolate Egg
Mini Egg
Creme Egg
Peanut Butter Egg
Where do peeps fit into all this if they're some kind of marshmallow thing?
>What about the idol industry
I find the Idol industry to be very weird.
2D idols on the other hand are a quality cultural contribution.
Creme Eggs have been rotten for almost a decade now. A sad fall from grace.
>Where do peeps fit into all this if they're some kind of marshmallow thing?
Yeah, they're some American sugar-laden "delicacy".
>27 minutes in
>3 goals by Cavan
Jesus Christ Roscommon needs a better goalie.
>newer cadbury ones that come in the 4x cartons with white foam stuff in the middle
I don't know these.
They're popular in America for Easter sweets I believe.
>Creme Eggs have been rotten since the beginning of time
FTFY
>they believe it's an Americanism as the British do
Yes the term originated in England but it's been adopted by America and made its own at this point. I'm not even from Dublin and I rarely hear the term soccer being used. I mainly hear it in the media such as newspapers or on betting websites. In day to day conversation, people just call them both football and people know what they're on about based on the context
>2D idols on the other hand are a quality cultural contribution.
It's a winning combination
I rarely ever heard it called anything but soccer, except for by one middle-aged West Brit who was hated Ireland and thought he was smart for following an international sport.
I'm from a hurling country too, not Kerry.
>In day to day conversation, people just call them both football and people know what they're on about based on the context
I know many a place in rural Ireland where you would get more than a dirty look for calling soccer "football". And rightly so.
>I'm not even from Dublin and I rarely hear the term soccer being used. I mainly hear it in the media such as newspapers or on betting websites. In day to day conversation, people just call them both football and people know what they're on about based on the context
I'd say it's a mixture from what I've noticed. People who follow both tend to distinguish and people who don't tend to use Football for whichever they care about.
I don't really mind what people call it anyway since Gaelic football is very regional through the country anyway. So long as they don't attempt to adjust my use of "soccer" I'd never be obnoxious enough to dictate how they use "football".
The way Dubs use "gaah" or "the gaah" is a bit more annoying though and I don't really hear that in any other part of the country. It feels a bit patronising as if they don't view it as a "real" sport.
>It feels a bit patronising as if they don't view it as a "real" sport.
Distinctly the impression I got from anybody who used the term "the Gaaah". They consider it to be some culchie meme sport.
>gaaah
It also makes me think they're not even aware hurling exists.
Ironically it's often from the same people who consider UFC as a serious sport.
Of course they're not with the state of the Dublin hurling team.
They usually are, but they just use "the gaaah" to refer to both because they don't care.
Ah yes, the true intellectuals of Ireland.
Mini eggs and wake and bake.
even druggies celebrate easter
amen
Could be on the rise though, they have the club champions in Cuala.
Please don't say such worrying things.
>It feels a bit patronising as if they don't view it as a "real" sport.
I live in Dublin during weekdays and I don't get this impression at all. I hear people talking about it with genuine interest, I see supporter flags, etc. I've only ever heard the term gah used a few times, by people from home and they're definitely not people who see it as some meme sport since they actually play it
Creme must win
The dubs will destroy everything you love, nothing will escape.
There are actual rumours that diarmuid connolly is going to switch to Hurling and Con O'Callaghan is a dual player that could go with either. I suppose it makes sense that with 1/3rd of the population competing to play for one football team that a logical path would be to push more and more of them into Hurling.
Peanut Butter is going to secure a turnabout victory, I just know it. Maybe the real objective is to get a lower score rather than a higher one.
But for now, I shall continue basking in the glory of being a Peep Chad
>Maybe the real objective is to get a lower score rather than a higher one
The absolute state of peanutfags.
I think it's changing a bit since the Dublin footballers became successful, there doesn't seem to be the same contempt there used to be.
I wonder if the rule 42 business around 10 years ago which brought rugby and soccer fans into Croke Park for a few years might have had a bit of a positive knock on effect for the GAA among those who weren't too familiar with it before.
Maybe the real points were the friends we made along the way
>"the gaah" is a bit more annoying though and I don't really hear that in any other part of the country. It feels a bit patronising as if they don't view it as a "real" sport.
Cill Dara say it too, although they're just Dublin junior at this stage.
The key to victory is posting the cutest anime girls.
>They're just Dublin junior at this stage
This goes without saying.
