found a neat trick to increase the mining speed of your CPU or GPU, or even ASIC (haven't tested it on ASIC):
1. remove the CPU or GPU from your computer.
2. place it into a microwave.
3. select high power and microwave for 30 seconds.
This will help add more energy and power to the silicon, which helps it switch at a higher speed. For my i7, it helped me overclock to 7.13 GHz without any voltage changes. You can mine monero with that.
Unfortunately, this extra energy will be consumed over time so you'll have to repeat the process again every few weeks.
