Never had one.
aw yiss
Milky pink
I used to lick it when I got stressed out
I had 2: white and purple.
I had a green Gameboy colour.
>All your friends are gathered around waiting for you to open your last present
>tear off the wrapping paper
Had a sliver SP. was amazing them my dad said I should trade it for a ds
1. France
2. I have never had a mobile console, only Playstations.
honestly I'd lick a clear pink gba as well
non-portable console fags need not apply thanks
Same colour.
And my Game Boy Colour was yellow
I had this one with pokemon saphire
I didn't have one because we were poor and also being from a socialist country means imports were like 150% more expensive
but I did have a computer and emulated everything so in the end everything was fine.
Same
I've only ever met people who had the purple one, I always thought it was the most popular worldwide. Maybe it was just popular in my city for some reason. It was an ugly colour but everyone had it
Never had one. First portable (that wasn't a shitty tetris) was a black DS Lite back in 2007
this
i only had gb sp
was just about to buy a used one for 20€ today but I felt it wasn't really worth it
any good ds games or should I skip the DS and go straight for the 3DS?
Might as well just get a 3DS, hack it, and enjoy fuckload of shit, including DS games.
Same here. Mine was blue.
i had a nokia where i played and shared shitty royalty free music on bluetooth and played snake with my friends
My first gb was the gbp and it was gray, then i got a yellow gbc and i stoped playing for a while when gba was launched but i got back at it when gba sp came out and i had the silver tribal version
>the silver tribal version
such an ugly design but I thought it looked so cool back then
i had pic related until i lost it (probably stolen by a "friend")
love GBA shape but GBA SP is objectivelly better in terms of screen and battery
>but I thought it looked so cool back then
yea same
I had a teal gameboy color and then a silver game boy advance
I'd rather have the AA batteries desu
in terms of screen, that's what mods are for. Pic related
>dude just put a lightbulb mod on it
>dude just change the batteries every week
its not practical
it's not a lightbulb mod, it's literally the SP backlit screen on a regular GBA. I get your point about the batteries but it's more future-proof that way
it comes down to personal preference desu
You stole my gba you asshole
this
I started with this.
I swapped the casing for chink clone of Palkia/Dialga limited edition. I wish I didn't desu.
>I get your point about the batteries but it's more future-proof that way
Rechargable batteries are the way to go, and i agree with you, the backlit is the way to go with that shape.
White
This one too, with Advance Wars, Fire Emblem and some Pokemon's
>Good things in this picture:
GBA
Pokemon Fire Red
GB Pocket
>Bad things in this picture
Roku remote
Dualshock 3
It was a picture to compare th size of the retro mini, some user had asked about it and i wanted to be sure he knew how small it is. that's not a GB pocket. MY gb pocket is red.
I remember playin with that shit pokemon before i go to elementary school and i didnt even knew how to read i was just walking around
The first Gameboy was my last Gameboy.
T-there was not much color to choose from...
Except for all the colored ones, you clown. Red, pink, yellow, green, blue, black, white, clear.
Those appeared years after the original
same
Fuck, I accidentally broke mine in my backpack.
feelsbadman.tiff
I had this and Tomb Raider, Pokemon Blue, Rugrats, Tetris and Pokemon Silver
Such a good looking boy ruined by the green b and the blue d-pad
1. Flag
2. Pic
had one like that
This is the only gameboy I had
This
gray GB
purple GBA
and this later I got the silver DS
flag
wh*Te
beautiful, I didn't know they sold white ones
I had the gameboy advance micro in blue, felt like i was the only one that had one
I had exactly that one, it was lit
Black SP with Ruby as my first game
Never bought any games for my DS light, R4DS all the way
>he didn't have an SP
LOL
Also Fire Red was my first game
S
O
Y
B O Y S
>felt like i was the only one that had one
No wonder, Micros are very rare because when they came out the DS had already launched. Micros also lack backwards compability
>should I skip the DS and go straight for the 3DS
Nigga, DS is the best handheld of all time. If anything, you'd be better off skipping 3DS.
Or actually getting 3DS and using it to emulate everything up to DS and a a flash card to play DS games.
Bruce, you're just mad because games cost a fortune in Australia
I still have mine but my battery cover broke almost 15 years ago
I had a blue SP a few years later and then I bought a silver one secondhand
never seen a micro in person, I remember they were pretty expensive when they came out and no one wanted to spend money on it when the DS was almost the same price
Yeah it was a real blunder on Nintendo's part. Though today it is a collector's item.
from what I understand DS games on the 3DS don't look as good because of the different resolution though
Never had one.I always had the latest last gen console but as far as handhelds goes never had one.Always played pokemon in emulators or had to norrow GBAs
ZOEY FACE
There were pokemon games for the Gamecube
my nigga
Same as any other screen on any other device.
On 3DS it's either stretching or black bars – take your poison.
I have a black SP that doesn't work anymore. ;_;
Also, a black DSi and a blue 3DSXL, which I was playing Picross on a few minutes ago.
I had a blue sp.
Black. All of my electronics are black. And my car, and my clothes.
>stretching or black bars
ugh. Might as well get a DS since they're so cheap right now, is the DSI XL the best version? The Lite looks the most beautiful desu
YASSSSSS
>is the DSI XL the best version
Marginally.
There are a couple of DSi only games, but nothing major as the idea of supporting two platforms unsurprisingly never get any traction from developers.
It has slightly more RAM/better CPU (which arent utilized by most games) and DSi store with indie crap. Not sure if that can be pirated.
There's DSi XL which has a larger screen (with the same resolution), so there's that.
I skipped GBA because it was shit.
GBC = translucent purple
DS = black
>GBA
>shit
user...
I had a purple GBC
Patrician taste
No thanks, Zelda's been shit since Majora's Mask. Wind Waker was ok but not good enough.
I do regret not playing Golden Sun, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to absorb since GBA emulators exist. GBA era Pokemon was shit, Harvest Moon was shit, Final Fantasy Tactics was shit, the list goes on. The GBA was a worthless handheld.
>it was shit
it was literally the best handheld console ever
WHO MASTER RACE HERE
YOUR OPINION IS WORTHLESS
>$800 AUD video game blu-ray
>tfw parents lost all my gaming consoles and handhelds after I went to college
I had a blue Gameboy Color
Purple Gameboy Advance
Black Gameboy SP
Black DS Lite
My brother had a 3DS xl with a monster hunter plate but sold it recently
That would be reserved for the GBC, although since the Switch is cheating, it might become the Switch
the switch is a meme, I literally sold mine today
mate the GBC didn't even have a backlit screen, couldn't play the damn thing without sunlight or whatever. Also 16-bit is superior to 8-bit
this is how I know you're underaged
the tech doesn't matter, the lineup did. the fact that GBC launched Pokemon (the two best ones) in NA is more than enough to make up for whatever internal backlit garbage lineup the GBA offered
You might buy it back when SMT5 and Fire Emblem launch. Or if you have shit taste, you might not
Then again if Switch Fire Emblem is like Awakening/Fates, you probably shouldn't bother
The GBA is 17 years old you dumb shit. Have you even played Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald? They're THE best games in the entire pokemon franchise, along with Black and White
Silver SP then sky blue SP
>Have you even played Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald?
Yes I have, including the remakes. They're at the bottom of my list simply due to the cringey antagonists. "Durr hurr land is better, durr hurr sea is better." Jesus christ, that's Gimmick Central.
I infinitely prefer Team Rocket over garbage R/S/E. Besides, after Gold/Silver is when they had to start picking high-hanging fruit for Pokemon designs, so every single one of them turned into Grimer or Magmar. Now that there's like 800 Pokemon, it's only gotten worse in terms of design. Pokemon was better off when it was 150 low-hanging fruit designs.
...
>genwunner
I haven't been this enraged in years
I absolutely fucking loved GSC, but there are some major problems I have to say improved in RSE.
I like Team Rocket, but when GSC's final bad guy was simply "Rocket Executive" it's a bit dissapointing and unmemorable. I remember struggling against houndoom with my shitty green barney the dinosaur, but I can't remember shit about the bad guys.
I really liked Archie and Maxie and the fact that they're retarded fucking ideologists.
Secondly, I really liked most of gen 1's designs, but the pokemon like Jynx and Mr. Mime are some of the worst ever, while some of the newer gens has some real gems (even though alot of them are shit).
I was a deprived child, so I only had a transparent purple GBA. I owned exactly four games: pokemon blue, wario world, some shitty tubing game where you floated down a river throwing cans at things, and the camera.
>Final Fantasy Tactics was shit
Get out of my country, you filthy fuck.
This
Middle of nowhere swamp USA. Never had a gameboy.
