>feel the desire to learn Japanese
>remember that I'm a dumb white piggu that would stick out like a sore thumb and would have a disgusting accent
>they also obsess over manners and work ethic and you have neither of those
>desire fades
use the lingordeer app
Why cant you mind your manner kedo?
I don't want to talk to the nips or anyone for that matter
I want to consume japanese entertainment without english (or at all if there's no english version available)
がんばって、アノン君!
It's unintentional. I'm just loud and obnoxious because of my background and I look like an automated sperg when I try to mask it.
On one hand I like the idea of learning Japanese for games and anime and shit.
On the other hand I feel like it would take me years and learning a language for games seems rather pathetic. If I was a wealthy NEET I'd do it.
Oh, you can be super alpha in japan then
Girly japanese will be afraid of your alphaness
> Have ADHD
> Can't focus on any activity that requires mental effort
I would rather not be a rude man that also steals their women. That would just make everyone hate me even more.
I just want to eat some noodles and hide in a tiny apartment.
It's a meme lad. Enjoy spending 4 years grinding flash cards. Takes about 500,000 flash cards to become fluent, so you better start grinding now fucker
Why on earth would you learn Japanese? It's a completely useless language, the time wasted learning Japanese could be spent learning Chinese instead, which is at least relevant in comparison.
>too lazy to turn my life around
>left on a downward spiral to suicide
same
>Chinese instead, which is at least relevant in comparison.
ケック
Japan literally has fetish for you
You rook so angel to them
>have add
>focus on one subject and ditch it before you learn anything
>repeat
The feeling is rather mutual but being a walking stereotype would make me want to kill myself.
>Chinese
go back to Jow Forums and take your shitcoins with you
Your granny cant teach Japanesse to you?
Is there a way to learn it without grinding flashcards?
rude
so you can speak to chinese? yea.. no
Did you learn english with flashcards? If you didn't you should know you don't need them. Or are you actually an american?
fucking lazy sons of bitches
There is a shortcut you can pull. You can grind 2k cards with very common words, and then read the rest. But it's not like reading a book, it's more like intensely analyzing a reading until you get to the point where you can just pick up and go
Fuck
That sounds very frustrating and tiring
>Too lazy to do anything
Go back to Mexico.
I'm too lazy to go back
That's why Arabs will replace you. After the Germans invest in Eastern Poland, of course
Just start watching doramas . You'll learn in no time
i would have learned nothing if classes hadn't kick started me. i can't study grammar on my own for shit. now my progress has made it so i have enough motivation to do it myself
pic related, biggest motivation booster lately
It is. I haven't really started reading yet because of it (I almost quit when I tried reading after hitting a vocab of 400 and felt like I couldn't read a thing on the page). Once I hit 6k vocab, I'm going to go all out on the reading. Once you hit 10k is when it's not as frustrating any more from what I've heard
Actually yes she speaks it
But I teach myself because she is far away
just watch anime, dai jo bu? yamero!!! kuso.... wakarimasen deshita, naze tte? watashi ga kita!!
Sugoi
Why would you learn Japanese? It will be a dead language in a few Generations.
youd change your opinion if you saw qt nihon tourists
>sticking to hiragana identification to start out
djtguide.neocities.org
>now I can do them all quickly
>try to write each out now from memory
>can't remember 90% of them
Was I wasting my time? It feel like all I trained was muscle memory on my keyboard.
knowing how to read something and how to write it are very different things. you should always learn to write it
>Have ADHD
>Don't use it as an excuse for laziness and lack of discipline
>Manage and eliminate distractions (almost entirely quit video games and cut back on internet)
>Work hard at Japanese every day for an hour
>Pass the N2 in a year
>Soon to take and pass N1
You can do it too, user. Don't tell yourself that you got the short end of the stick. Even if you really did, refuse to believe it. That mindset can be really paralyzing.
頑張ればきっと出来るよ。
It's not so much a "shortcut" as it is a necessary step. You can't quit the flash cards at that point and expect your language ability to continue to significantly increase if you do nothing to reinforce the words you learn while reading.
It is.
I'm at around 8K and it's loads easier than it was when I was at around the 2000 mark, and even noticeably easier than the 6000 mark. That said, read as much as possible as early as possible. Find whatever material makes that possible for you at your current level, and regularly re-evaluate your abilities. I'm currently reading (with ease) a manga that seemed impossible when I tried it six months ago, 最強伝説黒沢.
Know what else will be dead in a few generations? Me.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have an interest in Japanese media, women, history, culture and country. Learning Japanese can help with all of those:
>Japanese media
Lets me read/watch/play without relying on subs or dubs (which can be inaccurate, or not exist at all).
>Japanese women
It allows me to talk to them. Even if the rumours of some Japanese women swooning for white guys is true, it allows me to get better women, or at least make it easier to detect which women are trouble.
>history and culture
Through language I naturally end up picking up etiquette and etymology, which give a deeper understanding of the culture and historical context. Also if I was good enough one day perhaps I can read historical texts, monuments, etc in their original language.
>country
It allows me to experience the country far better if I can talk to people and read things I come across. Also if I ever became passionate enough to want to move to Japan, it opens up the doors for that, particularly through English-teaching work placements.
As for China? I have a vague curiosity at best for those things, not enough for language to make any difference. The only thing China has over Japan for me is its cuisine, but even that's probably not true because the "Chinese" food served here is probably an inauthentic variation for British tastes.
If Hong Kong was still British territory I'd probably be more interested in that though, because I'd have some connection to it, both pragmatically (working for British public sector jobs there), and sentimentally.
I was always going to learn both, I'd just assumed the 2 skills would translate to one another.
