Posting K/D ratios from a random battle doesn't mean that the coalition troops didn't march into Paris in 1814.

I know :^)

something like this
very traditional Asian armour and weapons
this is a bit more grand, lower level soldiers would usually just have a rifle and a pike with some more simple cloth armour

>Pretty sure it was the other way round
Explain this then

It was our only way to win tbf, we needed the Russians out of that war.

this is after napoleon but before the French
common soldiers mostly would look like this, almost Ottoman looking outfit

If only Napoleon was satisfied with being the ruler of western and central Europe. We would have destroyed the anglo dogs for good.

Just wanted to say we kicked your ass (even though you won in the end, yea)

tu veux quoi ?

>we kicked your ass
At Austerlitz and Friedland? Yes. In general? No.

It wasnt about conquest, it was about defending the ideals of the revolution from the reactionnay mon*rchies of Europe.

>Canadians still trying to usurp credit for the British Army's accomplishments

Sad!

>in general
If by 'in general' you mean 'before 1812' then 'no'.

Leib-Guard Hussar.

Isnt your battle record during this era abysmal though ?

>post-18 Brumaire France
>not an authoritarian regime

The war(s) of 1805-1807 were not Russian victories by any means but to say that you kicked our ass would be to outright lie. There were both ties and small-scale Russian victories although nothing compared to the two dfeats that I mentioned earlier. Hell, the Italian expedition of 1799 was a victory but the retarded austrians couldn't supply us properly and a year after Russia left northern Italy the french rule over that terriory was restored.

well, as far as I'm concerned, I was talking about the coalition in general

So also Venezuela and ecuador

It was authoritarian, but it was Enlightened Despotism. As long as the ruler defended the country and the revolution, it would have been fine.

Well you should have said so

>muh authoritarian
France improved exponentially under Napoleon's enlightened despotism and it would have continued to grow

Indeed

My flag says it best - I have nothing against authoritarian regimes. The initial claim was that Napoleon wanted to defend the values of the revolution against the reactionary monarchies of Europa. That, however, is strange since his post-1799 and especially post-1804 rule was authoritarian just like anything else in Europe at that time. Hell, if he had cared about republicanism that much, he would not have destroyed Venice in 1797.

I didn't make that claim so fair enough.

napoleonic wars were the first world wars, if you add in independence wars and other conflicts
so....

What do the finnish people think of the period when the Russian Empire ruled your lands?

Half of it was okay and the latter half of it was shit. So, overall you could say a bad taste was left lingering in the mouth.

>Russia
i was thinking more along Britain invading Buenos Aires

Edit it back, then. You probably won't because you don't know any more about the battle than the editors do.

How's it more credible when it's 1 source vs. 3.

If they're wrong then edit them in accord with proper sources. You won't because you haven't even read the they have, let alone found more.
