I'd really like to see those responses. I bet history is repeating for most of current projects.

I've been here since 2013, I'm ashamed to say. I didn't cash out this winter, for reasons unknown.

Lots of projects have come and gone, you really can't tell at the time which will succeed. Bitcoin is the only one I'd really bet on being here in another year.

Frankly speaking, his claims didn't live up to reality.

heavy fud and making fun of at the time ether bag holders actually, read it.

this thread did not age well at all.

warosu.org/biz/thread/S845041#p855270

what timeframe would be early adopter?

2009-2014?

I got in late 2017. If you started gambling during 2017 then you are an early adopter.

>b- b -but we are the early adopters. right guys?

If 2015 counts as early, then yes.

been holding since 2011
depressed about not selling top

previous bubbles were not as depressing because of price

OP's post reads like what I've been hearing about Wanchain honestly. The hype around that shit was annoying and I haven't really felt the need to figure it out but I'm thinking maybe I should.

what the fuck are you serious? are you still wage cucking it and eating ramen? You literally had to just not even be paying attention to not already be fuckin caked up by now

I know people who started in 2015 and participated both in the ETH and in the NEO ICO. As OPs post implies, ETH was 31 cents and NEO was even cheaper. Those guys hover around 50 mill right now and because they actually have names in the sphere, they keep on getting solid fractions of new projects in advisor roles. If crypto as a whole doesn't pop, I'll know a few billionairs in one, two years. Feels odd, coming from a middle class family and all.
Mind you, those are 20 year old random kids too. Someone like Dan Larimer must be in the 10 billion range already. There was a times article recently that listed the rich guys in crypto with estimates of their wealth, but since I know simple 20 year old kids who are in the tens of millions range, I know that those times estimates must be off by at least a factor of 10.

weakest shill

It's threads like this that are the reason I'm investing as much as I can.

History will repeat itself almost guaranteed.

it's a surreal feeling reading posts from pre 2017 biz, realizing you're a newfag who missed the train.
on the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if the sentiment was the same back then - buying bitcoin at 100$ would have probably felt like "missing the train" too.
we might still be "early adopters", yet to witness a new moon. bitcoin might reach $100k - seems absurd, but it would also seem absurd for 100$fags that bitcoin would reach 10k.
in retrospect there is clarity, in the present - always thick fog

wait a minute, does auger do what chainlink supposed to do?

I am yeah. I bought BTC years ago and I'm still holding.

We are 100% still early adopters. The majority of the population hasn't even come close to touching crypto. It's literally only a matter of time.

Buy a solid coin. Sit on it for multiple years. You will make money.

Don't let biz convince you otherwise. 90% larpers who have never invested.

If you assume that there will come a day where half of the word population uses crypto assets as money, then of course we are the early adopters. Only a tiny fraction of people owns crypto. But the reality of things is also that bitcoin (or any proof of work coin, for that matter) isn't scalable, and also that the wealth is ulta-centralized. The top 100 bitcoin addresses own 20% of all bitcoin, and the top 100 Ethereum addresses own 40% of all Ether. No matter how those chains improve, there will always remain the risk that a single individual moves 1% of the whole currency market. It can't really work. If you believe in crypto, you must watch out for when the coin comes along that will actually work and get a good position. The other option is just daytrading yourself rich or hodl not-so-shit projects as long as they are not replaced by something better.

Sold in januari, bought back in today

This is painful to read

>In related news, Ethereum idiots on suicide watch

Got in a few years ago and lost half my BTC in Gox but luckily I still had my 400 LTC on BTC-E when I got back into it in 2017. I rage quit due to the massive crash we had and to be honest I'm laughing at the normies quitting now. This is absolutely nothing compare to Gox, almost everyone thought crypto as a concept was dead

yes you idiot, and it was proposed over 3 years ago
that's why chainlink is a meme while all the real mean buy augur

Started mining litecoin in 2013, had around 300 in a month before parents rage quit at me because of electricity prices. Would have been a millionaire already if they let me.

Nonetheless the price declines more rapidly now.

pre-2011

Yep, well I didn't buy all that much at the time so if I had "done nothing" I wouldn't have been rich today. But I was rich in January, that's for sure.

I was blind to it, greedy, didn't want to cash out, watched it fall to almost nothing. I swear I didn't even "realise" until I was 85% down, lol.

Most people can't handle this shit, and I am no exception.

ashamed to say i had over 1k BTC back in the days of Silk Road. spent majority of it on weed & shrooms and lost access to the remainder. i'd have been long gone by now but it will go back up if you just wait.

Wow so many parallels to how EOS is being shilled today.

there was a femanon who posted on biz saying she was doing webcam shows and some years ago a dude offered her 30K BTC for a dildo show and she refused. kek

Augur
>prediction of fact
LINK
>confirm fact

Same.
Right now though, I'm still holding, and I wanna know, what do most people think is the right move now?

Should I just keep holding, even though that's lost me more than half value, in case a bottom is near? Or should I take what I have now before we go down the $2k or even $1k levels?

See .

Cash out 10% of your position if that amount of money would at least help you a lot.

See .

augur still doesn't have a working product.

>warosu.org/biz/thread/S845041#p855270

reading my posts shilling eth from that time is weird. I used to type in a completely different way. this was before Biz had ids so you could samefag an entire thread.

This guy though... sounds like the guys you get swarming Link threads

>b-but this time is different!

Roll back another few years when we discussed Bitcoin on Jow Forums and it's the same story with Litecoin - and Bitcoin before that, etc

Attached: sounds like link.png (1874x794, 192K)

lol this. also I didn't know augur was a LINK competitor he makes it sound like augur was solving the oracle problem

Here from 2013... turned $200 into $60k ... should've sold, but im hopeful for another bull run.

>dev team are highly communicative

I have a nest egg that can last about 10 years.
I also have the same amount in crypto (btc) but I started out a lower (a few months earlier than Christmas, so basically I'm still in quite a bit of profit).

So I can afford to hold for 10 years, but I'd still like to protect my profits if it's going down really hard (to below the prices I bought in at).

Pajeet make 100,000,000,000 coins. Pajeet sell 1 coin for $1 to hes brother Pansun Now we have $100,000,000,000 capitalisation. WOW!!!

>Augur is the killer app for Ethereum because so many future dapps will need the information it can provide

Kinda like Chainlink?

Early adopter here
Cashed about half so far at different levels going up.. stopped selling when it started crashing.. bought a bit back for cheaper..

If you dont take profits on the way up you are just silly hahhahaha
Dont have to sell hige chunks to take profits dummies...

I mined 8 BTC. I also bought 3 from a friend for $25 each.

I sold three at $900 during the very first pump.

I haven't touched my originals so I guess I have BCH etc too. I'm not going to sell as long as I'm employed for tax reasons. I make 100k.

>been holding since 2011
>depressed
what the actual fuck
even if you did a $500 chad portfolio you would be a millionaire right now

>Are there any actual early adopters on Jow Forums still holding?
I bough some BTC back when it was around $40 because I was going to buy some modafinil but decided not to. I've been holding the BTC ever since. I try not to monitor whats going on with the price so I don't overthink it and end up selling it or some other way I'll probably fuck up. Instead of BTC for active trading I try to study other asset classes like commodity futures and forex and would like to have people here talking about it too but for whatever reasons people equate interest in those asset classes as whatever ad hominems like no coiner and so on.

I bought eth at $2. I sold all of it at $950 and $1400. Put half in LINK and OMG, cashed out the rest. Feels good man.

I went in september last year and rode the euphoria train all the way down the cliff like the rest. I set a goal of 5x investventment before cashing out 20% which obviously didn't work out in the short term. Set some goals.

i bought ether at ico......sold in 2016 @14$......fml

Always makes me laugh how newfags believe that they would already be trillionaires if they got in crypto earlier than 6 months ago. Fat chance.

The crypto community of today is to the crypto community of pre-2017 what NYC is to a cabin in the woods. Completely different worlds.

You're only highly likely to be a multimillionaire from crypto if you got in extremely early (2012 or early 2013 at latest), or if you put thousands of dollars in Ethereum or Antshares ICOs (seemed like lunacy at the time). Almost everyone else is still plugging along, trying to make it.

first bought bitcoin around $3. I then ran a niche drop-shipping store accepting only bitcoin. I had customers from all over the world, had over 500 BTC but I had to sell them to cover costs because I didn't have a job at the time. feels bad man.
then I got a job and always meant to re-accumulate but only ever bought about 10 BTC during the bear years 2013-2017. pretty much ignored crypto except when I would buy a random BTC on coinbase. very stupid. I started paying attention again before the Aug 1 BCH fork. bought into it heavy, and also XLM at 3 cents which has been very good to me. Now I'm also mining with 18 GTX 1080ti's on free electricity (my utility contract gives $0/kwh for 9 hours a night). not going to make the same mistake as the last bear market, I will be accumulating. portfolio ATH was ~450k, currently about 110k. I should have been a multi millionaire Jow Forums. fucking sucks.

You mean Ethereum didn't go from $10 to $1000 per ETH as people accumulated to participate in Icos? ?

That's because most of you are retarded kids who ended on crypto due to playing video games and doing drugs. I learned about ETH in march 2017, took me 10 minutes to get the idea was revolutionary and 1 week of research to see this was the real deal. Started DCAing immediately, but it pumped from $30 to $400 in the next months. Had I learned about it 1 year earlier, I would have gotten about 20x as many ethers for my money.

Hahaha get a load of this delusional retard. The fact that you only heard about ETH in March 2017 is evidence in its own right that you're dumb. Never would have made it, and never gonna make it either, poorfag.

imagine buying a shit ton of ETH during ico but buying into all the early ICOs lol
