>have to work today, on a Saturday
>Did 60 hours this week

>He didn't just become an ideas guy

and just think, the products you help create bring joy to some of the most awful, stupid, angry, and mean people on the planet

>VFX/gaming industry

wtf are you bitching about? You should be happy that you have a job in the only branch of gaming industry that still have future.
Just work as hard as you can as long as you can, save up and retire before 35 as a millionaire.

do you work for ea sports
it's in the game user
you should know that by now

in working today too. at a zoo. is your job really that bad? or did you just have the wrong expectations on how much your career will fulfill you?

I am a sup at one of the major vfx houses in London with 9 years behind me.
All i can say is only pussys do overtime, weak little ant people who dont know how to say no to prods.

I have never worked a day of overtime in the past 8 years and all it took was saying no. you are the cancer that is ruining the industry for everyone, i bet you also take the first pay offer they make you.

kys

Ditch feature vfx and move into commercials. You'll make more money and do less overtime

I'm a compositor at a post house in aus and fuck me am I avoiding the big sweatshop vfx houses like animal logic and shit

>turning a hobby into a job

Also, i think this when i look people in the face and tell them good job after they came in on the weekend while i was at home having fun.

Y-you're welcome.

>Retire before 35
>getting 59k per year
>30k after taxes

That'll never happen, user. I'll forever be a /wagecuck/.

No. I don't work for ea.
Yes, over time is in the game. So is my soul, which is depreciating over time.

at least Zoo is fun. Looking at animals won't make you feel dead from the inside.

>london
So, you have rights... and stuff? Wow. Tell me more.

what city do you work in?

>worked all week
>gptta work the weekend as well

Going into the coal industry was a mistake

>>getting 59k per year

It's your first year then? You'll get more once you're Senior Dev/TL/PM.

Buy property and rent it out, or remain a peasant

Once your game ships, take a fucking holiday

At least you have a job, because as soon as you lose it, you'll be depressed searching for another. Sush iz lyfe

LOL London is the worst out of all the places, there are no rights at all here.

just finished work, 3 hours early morning on a saturday teaching chinks how to speak the only civilized language on earth. kill me. i'm actively participating in the destruction of humanity by educating soul less insects

Change then. Was project planner some time ago and hated it. It wasnt hard but it was boring as hell and time never went by. Good thing was shitposting all day on Jow Forums. And a super ass comfy chair though.

Im now blue collaring and earn 37 an hour as a assembly technician (if thats the correct word in english)
Assemble stuff i have no idea what they are.
People that do a skilled blue collar job are the coolest fucks around. Theyre all fucking great to hang around with.
I mean comparing that it was always awkwardly silent in the office to going towards someone and farting at their face then running away while they curse you to oblivio is an incredible joy. Even our boss pariticipates in shitposting verbally.

I love it.

How did you get that position? I want to work on slots as well. Did you attend school in vegas?

>Assemble stuff i have no idea what they are.

How do you assemble it then? Isn't it some specialized industrial equipment that you have to be familiar with (how it works etc.) or even have be certified to assemble it?
If it's just random stuff, like assembly of scaffoldings at construction sites/stage equipment for music events then your hourly wage is pretty generous.

I work in the company.
I mean i do know how to build them. Ive been schooled the first few weeks. But i barely have an idea what they do or are used for. Its industrial shit. Nothing a person alone would have any use for. So i dont reallly care enough to give a fuck what im building.
I dont have any time pressure either so its quite comfy. Can do work that usually takes like 3 hours in 8 hours and no one cares.

Well I am a eurocuck and a friend of mine offered it . Tbh i didn’t know shit. I’ve had only Highschool as a cameraman and didn’t know shit about after effects . Left my job as a QC manager and started to intensively learn after effects ... it was pain in the ass but I had 6 months to learn it . Before the job start. It was a pain in the ass but worth it.
