Cash is getting rarer and rarer in Sweden. The amount of Bank Automatas where you can draw cash from is diminishing.
In merely 2 years, Stockholm has destroyed 200 bank automatas.
"It is expensive to take care of the bank automatas. We have to drop their numbers to manageable level, says Nilsson, the Cash and Customers Chief of Pankkiautomaatti (CCCP)."
Nilsson sees that the large Swedish cities will soon see a change where cash is no longer used but people will use credit cards.
In 2030s, cash will disappear totally.
Swedish predictions of cashless society is set to be 24.3.2023.
99% of merchants in Sweden will take credit cards so the need for cash is small.
Who the hell uses cash anyways besides criminals and beggars? Haven't held cash for 8-10 years now. Only debit/credit card. A lot safer, easier and faster. >inb4 when the system fails and you must use cash Has never happened to me. If it did I would go to another store.
Owen Richardson
what about them busses and trains and if the wireless payment device fails there and you just need to get there in time?
Gavin Jenkins
Swedes are so fucking naive and stupid. It's like talking to children.
Jose Davis
It's terrible
Brandon Turner
Fucking Sweden. I guess we'll be following along as always.
Happened twice, rode for free. Ok Ahmed. So you keep all your money in cash? Where do you store it? Under the mattress? Sock drawer? Kek.. I have two bank accounts, savings in different bank plus a few grand on paypal/other digital services that is used here.
Eli Hughes
>So you keep all your money in cash? have you never heard of a safe?
Brayden Myers
What about a house fire? Also walking around with cash is just asking to get robbed.
Nolan Powell
Don't carry more than you need
Nathan Sullivan
I can't decide which one of you is more retarded.
Cooper Hernandez
buy a fireproof safe you brainlet and only carry around as much as you need mountain jew
Jordan Peterson
>Don't carry more than you need
But I don't need to carry anything. I always have food in my fridge/freezer, nothing else important is purchasable with cash
Worst case scenario, I can't buy that 6 pack of beer today since the bank is fucked. Aw well, guess I'll buy it tomorrow.
Luke Green
I fucking hate cityfaggots
Let's see where you're at when the infrastructure that sustains your shitty life collapses, dipshit.
>A lot safer, easier and faster. I dunno why, but yall strike me as a prime target for a russian test EMP strike. you won't be able to function if the internet goes down and you can't do transactions. that's like using a pile of straws and hoping it can hold up a book. it might for a second, but you're deluded to think it's a solid base without redundancy or a plan B.
I live in the countryside outside a smaller town (Åre). Why carry something I never use? If Russia attacks us we got way worse problems than money...
Liam Cox
when was the last time Russia attacked you though?
Nathan Nguyen
Why? The world moves towards cashlessness preference but retains it as an option, for good reason. Complete removal is retarded (pragmatically-speaking) and facilitates further slaveship to private companies and governments.
Joshua Rogers
Few (many) generations ago?
Sebastian Morris
Because Sweden is dead-set on being an Orwellian nightmare where EVERY SINGLE transaction is monitored
Michael Fisher
Swedes never valued privacy much. Considering their freedom of information.
Jeremiah James
We used to, it's just that we've given up hope by now
ever heard of a slippery slope? One day drugs are illegal. but the next day something as a pencil might be illegal. Thats why you need cash
Daniel Ortiz
you get kicked out (unless you're a fucking shitskin, then it's a free ride)
Blake Adams
dumb swedes submitting to the botnet
James Rogers
so fucking stupid, it's an invasion of privacy
Luis Hernandez
Yes maybe but it's also happening in Denmark, Norway, France, UK, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia, Poland, etc etc.
Brayden Brown
No we didn't you fucking idiot, it's the opposite. Offentlighetsprincipen is in our constitution since the 18th century and being able to see how much everybody earns and where they live etc. has never been a problem.
Henry Sanders
Its not a problem when you dont have niggers and jews
Chase Green
>first destoy all the cash >then join in the €, because what difference it makes? Pretty clever from the decisionmakers when the people are pretty hard against joining euro.
It's not the government removing cash, it's believed that by 2030 a majority of stores will choose to not accept cash so it's really an issue of the free market
Evan Anderson
Jews have lived in sweden since ~1700 but they aren't a lot, only 20000 according to wikipedia.
Xavier Jenkins
What's the fucking problem with legal tender and why do shopkeepers have to be so reddit about it
I'm glad I'll be old as shit before my country becomes this faggy
