How do you beat some of the most powerful empires in history yet fail to beat places like Cuba and Vietnam?

>that censored swastika

Attached: 1520830711911.png (420x420, 7K)

What powerful empires did they beat? Didnt they have strong allies in every war?

>Vietnam
>Afghanistan
??

>Vietnam
You were saying?

Attached: Vietnam btfo.png (330x624, 66K)

what can white men do against such reckless racemixing?

Oh I see, my mistake. Well done.

But Hollywood told me America saved the day

This image also works as the d&d allignement thing.

How could Napoleon conquer Europe but get spanked by Haiti?

How to France create the most powerful European country for centuries but lose to Vietnam and Algeria?

The British lost to Afghanistan in 1840, 1842, 1878, 1880, and 1919.

And Russia was humiliated by Japan before they were a significant power.

The Italians created a continental empire yet somehow lost to a few African tribes.

There are also lots of cases of the Romans have humiliating disasters with barbarians like at Teutoburg and Adrianople.

Nothing unique at all about smaller conflicts that large empires didn't really care for.

Cuba was just a supported coup that failed solely due to the dissident Cuban's fault. And America killed so many Vietnamese that they "lost" by having to leave due to unpopular public opinion.

add Syria to the list
America keeps getting btfo by non-countries, it's their weakness

Because they were far away from home so had limitted supplies, intel, reinforcements etc.
>The Italians created a continental empire yet somehow lost to a few African tribes.
Italians only controlled territory inhabited by italians, and some empty desert though.

>censored swastika
someone else beat you

Thanks Romania

>Because they were far away from home so had limitted supplies, intel, reinforcements etc.
This applies to America as well

Its not a swastica its the iron cross

Meanwhile, you've always been absolute shit.

most americans itt dont seem to believe america lost against the Vietnamese because USA never declared war, by that same logic you didnt win the cold war

Not true, 1000 or so years ago we were the shit.

Attached: 1480019202837.jpg (250x293, 20K)

cuba was our colony m8. We failed to deal with them in 2nd time because of the soviet union and fear of the 3rd world.

Britain didnt try hard at all, they were focused on India

>france won the war for you
Every country that has ever gain independence from an empire did so with help from a rival empire.

>they were american
They were traitors

>they tried very hard but could not beat you
We left Spain literally traumatized
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_of_'98

>you didnt win the western front, the French and Brits did
They would've lost without us. That was the whole reason America entered the war, all of the loans and debts the British and French took were in danger of going unpaid.

>you didnt beat the Germans, merely helped on the western front
It was a team effort between the Big Three.

>most americans itt dont seem to believe america lost against the Vietnamese because USA never declared war, by that same logic you didnt win the cold war
Most Americans know it was a failure but anyone with any knowledge of the war should be aware that it was not a traditional military defeat so much as a diplomatic failure. The same exact thing happened to the Soviets in Afghanistan.

¡Dios mío, la criatura de las americas!

Should include Sadaam not the Spanish bitch

Spanish-American War was just a massive PR stunt by Teddy Roosevelt

>Napoleon conquer Europe

>if you have a high k/d then you win

Ebic

how can the south be so racist if it is literally Mexico

How are you going to explain to your children that Sweden was conquered by a couple half-naked and illiterate African and Muslim tribes?

Oh wait, Swedes don't have those things anymore, at least not with other Swedes.

>a retired chief of Cuba's counterintelligence, who had been tasked with protecting Castro, estimated the number of assassination schemes or actual attempts by the Central Intelligence Agency to be 638
Imagine having probably the most advanced intelligence agency in the world and fail to kill a man for half a century, and then pat yourself on the back after nature does its thing

the pic makes me cry

12/10

how could you forget Canada of all countries leaf?

>W-we were just t-trolling! It's not like we wanted to abolish and limit China's communist influence in SEA...

ignore that

Cuba wasn't exactly a full on war, it was a former territory that had already gained Independence. It's like saying the British failed their war in Pakistan...
The French and yes, also the Australians failed in Vietnam too. We could have won Vietnam, but there was a lack of popular support at home which resulted in a lot of mistakes being made. It was the first widely televised war and people at home were seeing the reality of war for the first time. They were shocked and wanted it to end.

>Winning a battle means you won the entire war
By that logic Japan beat us

>And America killed so many Vietnamese that they "lost" by having to leave due to unpopular public opinion
lolwut
the public was not a fan of the AMERICAN death rate, they didnt want their boys coming back in pine boxes
it had nothing to do with vietnamese casualties

>fsa flag
But why : D

No. Balken is white.

>france lost to algeria

Whoops, grabbed the highest resolution result from google without noticing, fixed that.

That's even worse, they're tainting it with nazism.

By not giving enough of a shit. It's not a life or death scenario, so sometimes it's better to just cut your losses. Also, Cuba was protected by the USSR.

cuba
>irrelevant on the world stage
vietnam
>we could have beaten them, and we were beating them, until we decided to leave and cut funding

>inb4 prageru
it's informative just watch it

syria
>we're not even trying

im sorry what was your argument again? Can't identify one

>>irrelevant on the world stage
that makes it more embarrassing
>>we could have beaten them, and we were beating them, until we decided to leave and cut funding
So you didn't beat them
>>we're not even trying
No you gave up

Attached: remove burger.jpg (638x367, 53K)

>that makes it more embarrassing
does it? all it means is we don't care
>So you didn't beat them
chose not to
> gave up
that's a word with a negative connotation, but the idea is the same, we (the democrat congress specifically) stopped caring

>does it? all it means is we don't care
yes for the former
>chose not to
So you didn't beat them
>that's a word with a negative connotation
it is
>we (the democrat congress specifically) stopped caring
actually the situation was so embarrassing(f.e. half a billion dollars were spent for recruitment of rebels but only a handful were trained with it) that everyone lost morale to keep going

>that everyone lost morale to keep going
just wrong. The head democrat in the House Foreign Intelligence committe said about North Vietnam taking over South Vietnam: "I care about that as much as I care about Texas winning a football game to Alabama". We stopped caring, obviously, or we would've done something about it--we were winning the war when we withdrew troops. We did nothing.

>all it means is we don't care
yeah, that whole nuclear crisis thingy sure showed how much you didn't care about cuba

I'm talking about Syria you melt

lmao maybe we don't want to be in Syria? Aren't you europeans angry at us for Iraq?

Attached: trump ends cia funding syria.png (1944x870, 1.24M)

you are still active in Syria though, not to win anymore but to do damage control

>because of the USSR, not really Cuba

yeah but Trump doesn't want us there, nor do the vast majority of American citizens

(

There were Americans hanging Vietnam flags in their yards over outrage of the enormous Vietnamese casualties

And Vietnam, and Haiti, and Egypt, and Siam, and Morocco, and Korea.
