Stop pretending that we've only succeded because you gave us the chance. We were the ones who elected to take it, and to pursue it in the first place(there are requirements for joining the EU, and no, not all countries pass them). And there would be no growth if we just sat and did nothing these past 25 years. Our transformation from socialism to capitalism can be considered a success, and some countries take it as an example. You gave us the funds, but it's not like they were responsible for everything. It's not THAT much. These funds do not actually cover most of the costs, quite the opposite, but municipalities would rather get into debt than to waste the opportunity of some of the investment's cost being covered by the EU. It's of course highly beneficial for us(as long as there isn't overinvestment, but that doesn't seem to be the case), but it's not like we haven't put effort and money ourselves, if you think so, then you're mistaken. By the way, Hungary was better off than Poland 25 years ago, now it's the other way around - and that's despite them getting more funds per capita.
