Because at least here some dipshits thought African American Studies or want studies we're important despite not being able to get a career in it besides teaching it as a college class. We also have a lot of girls who get psychology degrees because it's "interesting" and a low work load but they'll never go on to become a therapist so it's just a wasted four years of education.

humanities have many important fields, unfortunely many are contaminated by excessive politics and outright cartel-style gatekeeping. The abuse of critical theory/principle is the most acessible example.

When it was found out many published works on medicine and psicology were non-repeatable there was major outrage in the field and diligences were taken to change that situation. Humanities tend to have extremely high non-repeteable results (due to the nature of sampling) yet very few actually try anything to improve this - and success is limited by the rest of the intelegentsia

I'm forcing my kids if I ever have them to join the military. Whatever they do there is up to them, but based on what I've seen the outcomes area lot better than people who went to liberal arts colleges.
