Were you unable to sleep the last few nights? Weren't you in bed earlier on Monday, or did that not help things?

I need to be here, I've things to do.

I don't drink coffee. Might get an energy drink if I get a chance.

I haven't been following, but thought did come into my head a few minutes ago when I saw the headline "Trump warns Russia to 'get ready' for Syria response" on RTÉ.
As with everything in relation to Trump, an exaggeration I presume.

>slightly more the night before
Didn't you go to bed around midnight because the thread hit the bumplimit? Were you just lying awake for hours?
>I was barely able to wake up this morning
Funnily enough, I was the exact same. The exact opposite of Monday when I had plenty of energy.

Sorry to hear desu.

>We haven't really been discovered as a market yet so we generaly only get ads every 20 videos or something, which is acceptable
That's quite strange. You'd assume that marketers would have figured out by now that while Luxembourg's market is small in size, it is lucrative per capita. We're a rural backwater by comparison and we get highly tailored internet ads.

Was I right in remembering the island episode was in S1? Or maybe there's an island episode in both seasons? It's been too long.

Attached: 1494204734988.png (550x750, 193K)

>See how they didn't even name the one we ended up using
Seems like it was filmed before it was decided though.

But it was free on Steam over the weekend.

Unironically yes. There might not be much of a difference between the UK and Ireland in terms of taste, but you'd definitely notice it on the continent and further afield.

>Was I right in remembering the island episode was in S1?
They were only there for a few minutes, if this was the island episode then it was very light on the island.

Yes, but isn't it mad how they named options which didn't end up being chosen (and had very little chance of being chosen - eg: M16, FAMAS, Galil)?
It's actually fairly easy to see how the choice was made, and by golly it was a good one.
The only other contenders in my mind were the FNC, the H&K (the reporter mispronounces the name), and the SIG.
Maybe if the gun wasn't literally below every other gun there, the SA80 might have been bought in the old tradition of Br*tish handmedowns, but thank God they didn't.

Interesting article/video. Thanks user.

Okay, that's not it then.

>isn't it mad how they named options which didn't end up being chosen (and had very little chance of being chosen - eg: M16, FAMAS, Galil)?
Not really, I doubt the average Irish person at the time (and possibly even the reporter) had much advanced knowledge of firearms. Going over a bunch of different options from all over Europe makes for better viewing than "They'll probably choose this one". You have to remember it was the news, not a specialist weapons show.

Two birds with one stone desu. We send all the dubs to inhabit a new buffer state between Israel and Palestine. No Palestinian is desperate enough to risk crossing through New Dublin.

>implying Dublin can be fixed

Fine, but it would be cooler to go into detail for the public as to what the Irish army ends up with.
They did choose good stuff, the Mowag and AUG were great buys, really in line with our place in Europe - small but neutral, like Switzerland and Austria. I don't see the point in the Scorpions though. If they wanted a tank they should have gone for a few Leopards or even old Chieftains, if they wanted an FSV (before the concept really became a thing outside of Italy), they should have gotten some MOWAGs with cannons (like Belgium did in 2006), and if they wanted something that could do everything they should have gotten an AMX from France.

But that's a tradition that almost all Taoisigh have participated in for decades now. It's hardly comparable.

Outstanding reporting restrictions on the trial were lifted.

Geopolitically, not militarily.
Though we are nominally rich enough from the EU to have an army of similar level.

Apparently they didn't show a big pile of blood on the bed to the jury.

>that's a tradition that almost all Taoisigh have participated in for decades now
Visiting Israel/Palestine is a tradition that almost all high-ranking SF members have completed for decades now.

>It will definitely make Reeling in the Years 2018 at this rate
It's a shoe-in regardless. It was a big news story, ran for weeks and the verdict and subsequent protests secured its place.

Nope, definitely a perceived working class slight. It's not explained the best in the RTE article I linked, but I've seen it explained better in other articles released today.

>A levy should be imposed on big tech companies to protect quality journalism and to “take down parasites who should have to pay for our work,” according to veteran journalist Olivia O’Leary.

While I agree that some of the demand for special taxes stems from entitlement and resistance to change, they are not always a bad idea. However, despite the fact that I believe the rise of the internet has contributed to a decline in the overall quality of journalism, I don't think taxation is a viable means of rectifying the situation.

Are journalists not essential to a functioning democracy? Or would you prefer a more authoritarian form of government?

What is your quality newspaper of choice then?

Attached: 1498370946661.jpg (1920x1080, 121K)

The journalism bit aside, two feelings I have with regards to large tech multinationals are that firstly they don't pay enough tax and secondly they are far too big.
The process of consolidation by large companies isn't something I like the idea of, yet it is becoming more and more common across every industry.
