No, that's how nature works, the weak exist so the strong can survive.
We are the strong, they are the weak, we kill them to survive.

It was a bit of both. It was a challenge to survive (for I think 10 days) using only primitive tools. As expected, they barely found any food except for this one big kill, and some of the women refused to eat the couple fish they caught, and IIRC one of them didn't even eat any meat from this hunt.
Some of the people gave up and left before this happened. One woman basically had a nervous breakdown and was crying constantly, while one of the guys said it was bullshit they couldn't get any food and left.
