you need to understand that in PPP Russia is stronger then Canada's economy. Russian military manufacturing and R/D is all domestic, they can churn out a lot of military gear.

you guys need to pay attention to PPP economies. Russia is mainly self-reliant. whether or not they can 'sustain' a war for a long time remains to be seen. but we do know they have a large military and the economy to support it since all of their tech and manufacturing capabilities are domestic. you have a higher GDP, nominal, but that won't matter then when Russians are buying Russian bombs, not European or american ones.

A rifle is relatively inexpensive and simple to make. Modern armaments are much more complex. Russia can field a lot of Cold War-era tanks but those are basically useless if shit hits the fan with NATO
