Despite the harsh austerity measures of the 1980s in Romania being still in living memory...

>Despite the harsh austerity measures of the 1980s in Romania being still in living memory, many Romanians respond in polls that they'd prefer a restoration of the Communist regime (as much as 53% in a 2012 poll), looking back nostalgically at an era of stability and safety as opposed to the-recent economic and political instability
Why aren't Romanians voting communist if they like the communist era so much?

>hey guys come try capitalism it's great
>implements harsh neoliberalism on underdeveloped economies trying to get their footing
Hmm.

But do they think communism is no longer a viable alternative?

notREALcapitalism.jpg

nobody denies it was real capitalism

Older people are retarded. Fuck communism

but you didn't live through it.
They did.

It's only old people and brainlets who want it back. They want the return of a system that gabe them jobs, their own place to live and the 60's when there was food. They'd rather give away the freedom to leave the country and to protest against the state in any way, for gibs, because that was their status quo. They don't see beyond their greed, and they don't care about their children's future.

I'm not Romanian but as someone who has this happen in his country as well, it's all b**mers. They somehow manage to become the cancer of society in every single nation, not just the USA

ok, but it seemed to have worked.
Many people spoke positively of Yugoslavia and Tito in Croatia and Bosnia.

baby boomers are cancer

Yugoslavia enjoyed all of 13 years of economic prosperity before things started to come unglued in the mid-1970s.

romanians are so used to being slaves, they cant imagine their life without sucking someones dick

they miss the good things obviously not the whole regime with securitate and so on

Only the old population love s comunism the young people dont want that shit.
Old people miss the days when everybody was forced to work and the state gave you a house.
They tend to remember only the good things about comunism they forgot the bad things.

>implying that's not capitalism

The biggest mistake in adopting capitalism was underestimating, be it due to stupidity or malice or combination of those, the importance of what established capitalist countries have been taking for granted: the rule of law, and the value of responsibility and accountability.

Capitalism in eastern bloc means “if I have money, I can get away with literally everything, including fraud, theft, embezzlement, murder...”

Very knowledgable on romanian political discourse, are you?

I was born 2 months after the fall of communism, for a few years the country kept being commie unofficially, it was shit, and most of the normal people hate it. It is a system wich promotes brainlets on big positions in the administration and so on, even if they fuck up, just for the sake of "equality". Fuck it.

It was shit mate, you were getting a job but they were all shitty jobs, you were getting an appartament, but usually they were the crappy commieblocks with mould in them, cold wet and dark as fuck, plus there would be rationalised food, electricity, no heating during the winter and if you had somebody that disliked you they could report you as an anti communist and be imprisoned without the need of proof. If you think that is good, you might be a brainlet

Eu sunt nascut in ianuarie 90.... vai ce saracie in anii 90..

We all DREAM about it.
