Ok, I made a thread here a while ago about moving to the UK.
I was given some advice on where to move to with my family.
I have narrowed it down to three cities which I think are suitable but I wanted to see if there are any Brits living in them who could give me some local knowledge.

Bath and Cantherbury are not even cities, they are large towns.
Edinburg is perhaps the most beautiful city in the UK, but has also about the worst wages - cost of living ratio.

A street view only tells me how it looks, not what it is like to live there, statistics as well only give a limited view. That is why I wanted to know about how it is to live there from the perspective of a local.

I found the UK's process the easiest to get through for immigration and the UK has an ok climate. I wouldn't want to live in Canada because it is often very cold. I applied for more countries than just the UK but the UK was the quickest to respond as well, so it has been easy to do.
