This is an Jow Forums general.

Finished episode 1 of "devilman". Weird stuff. Surprised Netflix would fund it.
Didn't get an NGE vibe, but there was hardly any character interaction in that first episode.

Attached: JudeanPeoplesFront.png (915x496, 200K)

What did they mean by this?

I wouldn't have recommended Devilman to somebody new to anime. I've been watching anime for years and i still found Devilman to be quite strange.

Attached: 1511854665650.jpg (980x1920, 294K)

OMFG! ANOTHER FUCKING AN*ME FAG THREAD FUCKING KYS WEEBS

I highly doubt anything can freak me out as badly as end of evangelion did, and I've seen the typical IRL Jow Forums shockjockery.

Attached: knife.jpg (339x235, 12K)

You first, lad.

Attached: 1523547941688.jpg (500x281, 28K)

Whats a good starting anime? I watched Kantai and GUP a couple years ago.

Thread for whoever cares to join

This thread is for anti-treaty

you mean this was sum finna inside job?

The first episode was pretty intense. What did you guys think?

Attached: 1523568859508.jpg (1920x1080, 208K)

Not particularly interested by "Devilman" desu.
If it's just ten episodes I might watch it, but I think warped Japanese morals and pseudo-angelology might put me off it.

Why would you presume that we would know what you're discussing?

>Why would you presume that we would know what you're discussing?
If you can't recognise it from the image then the post isn't for you.

this is Jow Forums, not /a/.
I don't know what that anime is, and if it's just "the first episode", why presume that it should be common knowledge?

Feel free to ignore the post if it confuses you.

you should feel duty-bound to make your posts as intelligible as possible to a non-specific international audience
if you want to be understood from just the image, post on /a/ or some other group for dedicated weebs

I'll post as I like, user.

Is that the first episode of S;G 0? It seems quite different from the source material already from that screencap, but there could have been a similar gag in the VN that I just can't remember. Might check it out I suppose.

Attached: 1482532232604.png (555x675, 543K)

Jow Forums comes with in-built search tools for this reason lad.

>group for dedicated weebs
So Jow Forums.

>The first episode was pretty intense
You didn't rewatch the original series?

Attached: 1505005712432.jpg (496x496, 39K)

you'll do NOTHING

Attached: 1523493084924.jpg (744x752, 42K)

Jow Forums has a board dedicated to weebery, ergo the rest of the site is not dedicated to weebery

The tone is quite dark overall, that was just one of the light notes from it if that's what you mean by "different".
How did you enjoy the VN compared to the original?

>Jow Forums has a board dedicated to weebery
>a board

>ergo the rest of the site is not dedicated to weebery
That's not how arguments work.

No, I just didn't remember any group dating thing. I remember that in the middle I felt like 0 was better than the original, but by the end I thought it wasn't quite as good. Definitely worthwhile overall.

Attached: 1484601171438.png (416x820, 278K)

To specialise, requires leaving a larger set that is not so specialised.
Ergo, /a/, the specialised anime board, must be specialised in contrast to the non-specialised non-weeb boards.

>You didn't rewatch the original series?
Why would I do that?

Attached: 1522239824809.jpg (600x600, 58K)

>Why would I do that?
I've mistaken you for someone else, maybe. My apologies, Jaggy...?

Attached: 1514655588612.jpg (1920x2160, 897K)

>No, I just didn't remember any group dating thing
The context was them catching up and asking Okabe if he was doing any mad scientist sort of stuff lately and he explained he was doing normal college student things like playing tennis and going to mixer parties to which they were stunned by.

>Definitely worthwhile overall.
Good to hear

>Ergo, /a/, the specialised anime board, must be specialised in contrast to the non-specialised non-weeb boards.
If you had no knowledge of Jow Forums up until now maybe.

i've been here for years and i only watched an anime a week ago

>I've mistaken you for someone else, maybe. My apologies, Jaggy...?
You must have, and yes. Poi? Or did you change your handle here as well?

Attached: 1515413952555.png (802x1000, 599K)

Did any of you grow up without a sibling of one sex, or as an only child?
How do you think it affected you?

>Poi?
Yes.
>Or did you change your handle here as well?
Afraid not, still the same old quality poster.
On S;G, it seems I have an OVA and movie to watch before I can watch Zero. Also I've forgotten most of what happened in the original and was thinking of revisiting it, but that would be a significant investment that would take many weeks, along with the fact I've never rewatched an anime before.
You enjoy the first episode? I take it S;G is one of your favourite series?

Attached: 1501341667454.jpg (2000x971, 1.48M)

>a sibling of one sex
What does this mean?
Do you think your siblings affected you?

I mean, did you not have a sister or a brother, either by having only sisters, only brothers, or no siblings?

What show?

I grew up without a sister. I never got to live out my siscon fantasies.

>the shitposter
OH NO NO NO *wheezing*

I don't have any brothers if that's what you mean

Do you think you would be better off with a role-model older brother, or being a role model to a younger brother?
What did you learn from having sisters?

>along with the fact I've never rewatched an anime before.
That's a surprise, why not? Do they degrade to the point of being ancient so you no longer want to watch them?
I find rewatches go very quickly and take a lot less focus to absorb so I can multitask watch them while doing certain work or while playing a turn based game.

>I take it S;G is one of your favourite series?
I suppose it's up there, yes.

Attached: 1492998805781.png (675x750, 773K)

>role-model older brother
Meme.

Do you rewatch dubbed or subbed?

I have a sister 12 years older than me who used to kick the shit out of people that fought with me and my brother.

Leaba anois. Have good night and day tomorrow.

>That's a surprise, why not?
I don't know. Maybe the fact that I know how it ends means I won't gain as much enjoyment from it, something like that. May also be that I haven't been watching anime as long as other people here, though I don't think that's it.
>degrade to the point of being ancient
Don't think so desu.
>I can multitask watch them while doing certain work or while playing a turn based game
That sounds quite nice. Maybe that might make rewatching S;G go alot faster, if I decide to do it. Mind you, S;G does seem like something that requires a bit more brainpower to process all the mysteries and such, especially if one can't remember them.
>I suppose it's up there, yes
Kurisu does boost the whole series up quite a bit, I guess.

Attached: 1496203741841.jpg (900x1273, 76K)

>Do you think you would be better off with a role-model older brother,
I had a brother figure in my younger years when I needed one, don't think I would have been much better off with a real older brother desu, the eldest child role suited me
>What did you learn from having sisters?
Not very much, don't get me wrong I have a very good relationship with my sister but we are quite similar in terms of our basic personality traits and general interests,so not much learning there

Do you have siblings?
Did they teach you anything?
If not,do you wish you had any?

>ignoring people
rude desu

Attached: LaunchBuuSaga.png (576x432, 344K)

Make sure to tell us about your dreams so that we can interpret them later

Mostly subbed although dubbed are easier to pay less attention to. Whichever form I watched it in the first time.

>Maybe the fact that I know how it ends means I won't gain as much enjoyment from it
I like the different perspective that comes from knowing how the full picture on characters and motives. Although it depends, something like Danganronpa would be very difficult to play again knowing exactly who the killer and victim is in each chapter.

Good night

Attached: 1495198029008.jpg (1920x1080, 278K)

Ruined another egg. Why are they so hard to fry, lads?

Attached: 1523566233637.jpg (1280x720, 397K)

Keep at it user, I believe in you

It's simple, all you need is a car bonnet and a desert.

Any idea what you are doing wrong?

Attached: eeer.jpg (640x800, 74K)

Whats the plan for the weekend?

I swear I heard a seagull outside there. I would've thought they'd be in bed by now.

Attached: 1437515041690.jpg (640x480, 30K)

I think it's the technique of getting the egg out onto the pan once I've cracked the shell. I'm sure I was shown the proper technique of sticking your thumbs in before but I just cannot get it right.

Attached: 1523556573710.jpg (1280x720, 106K)

You tell us first
Can't remember the last time I've seen a seagull desu
Does the yolk break or what's the problem?

>Does the yolk break
I think so, it spreads out a lot, as does the egg in general. It's still edible, most of the time, but it's just not right.

Goin to watch that Emily Blunt movie were they have to stay silent. Then I'm getting steamin

>You tell us first
Sadly it'll be spent at a family occasion in Dublin which I don't want to attend but feel obliged to.

>getting steamin
What does this mean? Drunk?

aye

>Sadly it'll be spent at a family occasion in Dublin which I don't want to attend but feel obliged to.
My condolences, but I'm sure it won't be that bad, will you go to a restaurant together or something?
How many eggs have you had?

>will you go to a restaurant together or something?
Yes. It's the small talk with people I haven't seen in years that I don't like.

>How many eggs have you had?
Do you remember the number of eggs you've had in your life?
If you mean tonight, just one.

Attached: 1469567046838.png (600x575, 740K)

Fierce heart pains, lads. I think this might be the end.

Attached: 1503452300231.jpg (373x472, 40K)

dull pain or a sharp pain?

Sharp enough. It's coming and going for the past hour. Not the first time I've had them though.

Attached: 1511965188509.jpg (960x540, 110K)

>It's the small talk with people I haven't seen in years that I don't like.
I suppose you can spend your time travelling to Dublin making up stories to tell them and all sorts of ways to change subjects
I'm sure you would not die without inviting your /éire/ish brethren to your funeral dinner?
>Do you remember the number of eggs you've had in your life?
Hotel breakfast buffets are a dangerous place

Attached: reen.jpg (1080x1920, 606K)

That's what you get for posting German boats

Why must anime lie to me?

Have you consulted a doctor? It might be something as simple as your diet.

Attached: [AnimeRG] Mobile Suit Gundam 00 S1 - 09 'The Honor of a Great Power' [1080p] [x265] [pseud (1920x1080, 157K)

>I'm sure you would not die without inviting your /éire/ish brethren to your funeral dinner?
Nah, I've arranged to have my body coated in honey and left in a field during a warm summer's day.

Seriously though, the thought of my own funeral scares me. If I outlive my parents, virtually nobody is going to turn up. The old ladies in the church that turn up for every and any mass will be muttering about how sad it is not to have anybody attend your funeral. And who will pay the priest? Mortifying.

It's what God would have wanted.

Attached: 1521397966687.jpg (848x1200, 185K)

>Why must anime lie to me?
Anime has done nothing but lie to us from day one.

>Have you consulted a doctor?
No, it's already subsiding. Never lasts long.

Attached: 1510776836459.jpg (658x668, 87K)

Consulting a doctor is for fruits.
I've been chundering and shiting blood for weeks and haven't even died yet.

>I've arranged to have my body coated in honey and left in a field during a warm summer's day
I'm not sure I understand. You want to be eaten by flies? Or bears?

>If I outlive my parents, virtually nobody is going to turn up
I think you're exaggerating. Surely your surviving relatives would attend?

>The old ladies in the church that turn up for every and any mass will be muttering about how sad it is not to have anybody attend your funeral
>caring what old ladies say

>Anime has done nothing but lie to us from day one
True but if it told the truth it wouldn't be a good form of escapism.

>it's already subsiding. Never lasts long
If it's a recurring condition you might want to get it looked into is what I meant.

Attached: [AnimeRG] Mobile Suit Gundam 00 S1 - 09 'The Honor of a Great Power' [1080p] [x265] [pseud (1920x1080, 277K)

>Nah, I've arranged to have my body coated in honey and left in a field during a warm summer's day.
Alternatively, you can start saving up your money and let yourself be cryonised(?)
As for me,I want a very pompous grave, perhaps I'll just spend all my money on a family mausoleum or something

>virtually nobody is going to turn up
Suppose that's the least of your worries then, and I'm sure there will be people, you know those family members you only ever see on funerals and whose names you don't even know
>Consulting a doctor is for fruits.
But most of all it's time-consuming,have been wanting to go to the hospital for a week now but I can't bring myself to it

>I want a very pompous grave, perhaps I'll just spend all my money on a family mausoleum or something
It'd be nice if we still got buried near home like in old times but the Pope had to ruin our fun like always.

>have been wanting to go to the hospital for a week now but I can't bring myself to it
Anything we should be concerned over?

>You want to be eaten by flies? Or bears?
Due to the lack of bears in Ireland, it's probably going to have to be flies. And midges.

>Surely your surviving relatives would attend?
Well if my parents are no longer alive in this hypothetical scenario, I'm assuming that most my relatives of their generation wouldn't be around either. And I'm not in regular contact with most my relatives from my generation.

>caring what old ladies say
But they have a direct line to God. Why do you think Marty Morrissey values their power so much?

>you can start saving up your money and let yourself be cryonised(?)
*Cryogenically frozen.

>perhaps I'll just spend all my money on a family mausoleum or something
I'm surprised you don't have one already.

>have been wanting to go to the hospital for a week now but I can't bring myself to it
But I'm sure your hospitals are far better than ours.

Attached: 1502335736212.jpg (721x1157, 432K)

>not being friends with your cousins
Literally how

>Anything we should be concerned over?
Not really, pretty sure I've torn my meniscus, the only thing I care about is that I won't need surgery
>It'd be nice if we still got buried near home like in old times but the Pope had to ruin our fun like always.
Suppose you can blame it on the fact that humans want to forget about death like people don't die at home anymore but in hospitals instead
>But I'm sure your hospitals are far better than ours.
Once again, we may not be the interstellar space-bankers you take us for

>Due to the lack of bears in Ireland
If only the guide in Ailwee Caves had taken my suggestion of reintroducing them.

>And midges.
>giving the midge menace any satisfaction
Do you just want to spite the world by upping their numbers?

>I'm not in regular contact with most my relatives from my generation
Word of deaths tends to get around, though then again it's usually the generation above that passes this information.

>But they have a direct line to God
And all they use it for is gossiping. They tell Him about those alive and he tells them about those dead. It's sickening really.

>Why do you think Marty Morrissey values their power so much?
Marty doesn't need God's powers, that's why he eliminated them.

Attached: 77d2237a294622585ccf31b06dc84.png (635x1000, 593K)

>the fact that humans want to forget about death
You've never met an Irish person.

>we may not be the interstellar space-bankers you take us for
I refuse to believe you.

>Once again, we may not be the interstellar space-bankers you take us for
No, Lux, trust me on this one. Our health service is easily the worst in Western Europe. We're the only Western European country not to have proper universal health care, we pay some of the highest healthcare costs in Europe, we have a highly unethical two-tier system for patients in public hospitals, and we have unbelievably bad hospital overcrowding and appointment wait times.

Our health service would be the biggest national joke there is if it wasn't putting people's lives at risk.

>Do you just want to spite the world by upping their numbers?
Yes.

>They tell Him about those alive and he tells them about those dead
So that's how it works. I always wondered how the old women knew who was dead before everybody else considering they don't venture out much.

>Marty doesn't need God's powers, that's why he eliminated them.
I'd say Marty keeps his friends close, and his enemies closer.

Attached: 1495503460595.jpg (624x673, 147K)

>You've never met an Irish person.
You'd be surprised
Also, it's a theory by some German philosophers, not my personal opinion
>we have a highly unethical two-tier system for patients in public hospitals
Go ahead and explain, please

>Yes.
I swear to God if I live longer than you and have to deal with one more midge than absolutely necessary I will dedicate my life to becoming commander of a nuclear submarine in the Baltic and "accidentally" unleash armageddon on a certain wreck.

>I'd say Marty keeps his friends close, and his enemies closer
RIP co-commentators.

>it's a theory by some German philosophers
I thought you knew better than to listen to them.

Attached: 83232aff16a54b48992404fd90f8.jpg (1388x2048, 486K)

>Go ahead and explain, please
People with private health insurance can be bumped up on waiting lists in public hospitals. This is on top of having access to private clinics and all the other benefits of private health insurance.

Irish people love death. Some people live for going to funerals.

Attached: 1511615150534.png (748x782, 637K)

Going to attend an Irish funeral one-day
>private clinics
Afraid there are no such things here
>all the other benefits of private health insurance.
Do you have double insurance?

>Do you have double insurance?
Double insurance?

>virtually nobody is going to turn up
Is that so bad? Would you want neighbours you barely know showing up to be seen or local politicians for the hand shake?
And you could just make a will for expenses, without one your assets would wind up going to distant relatives you may not like or even know very much.

>Going to attend an Irish funeral one-day
The removal is probably more interesting. A lot more standing around chatting and people can wind up forming a mile long queue to shake hands if the deceased is well known.

I'm covered by the public healthcare and by a private insurance,I just improvised and called it "double"

>the luxembourger is a rich cunt
What a surprise.

What happens to the people that don't specify "family flowers only by request"? Do their funerals got overrun with bouquets sent by strangers?

Attached: 1505681656113.jpg (720x720, 107K)

>Going to attend an Irish funeral one-day
The more rural the better. I remember attending a funeral when I was young in a really rural part of the country. To this day, I have never seen so much alcohol consumed by people in one sitting.

Yes, thank God. Although our public healthcare coverage operates differently to how it does in Europe because we don't have properly universal healthcare. It's not quite comprehensive to say the least.
